Avajane, thanks for keeping us informed, think Iโll wait awhile on Blewett.
Thanks for the update, headed out to east peak this AM. 5+ inches of fresh on top of yesterday. One of the better November days Iโve had!
Sounds a bit better than Hyak. Back side was good for 1/2 the run then some kind of styrofoam dense snow. Front side needs some snow. Those with better skills than me were sitting back to keep the tips up. Beats raking leaves.
Ha, who knew Source Lake would "go" (sort of : ) - thanks for the recon mission, Jake.
Let's hope for good snow dump this weekend.
Sounds like you all had a party, regardless of the conditions! :)
Stoked to get back out in the mountains with ya!
@alisse - There are two Seans on the crew so we gotta distinguish them somehow. I suggested he should go by Sean the Bone Crusher, but that hasn't stuck.
Looks like party time in the mountains! I really like that someone went by the name "Sean the Younger" ๐
@jacoblmandell Those are not the Phantom slippers at all. I saw the video that Phantom put up regarding the Slipper and I felt it was too much lateral movement for me. I want it a bit more stiffness.
Those are 2018/2019 Backlands with Phantom's Link Lever. I also have a 2019/2019 pair of the Backland Pros, the ones with the BOA on the lower. I got those because the older pair has the all orange liner which is HORRIBLE and keeps biting into my shin.
I haven't gotten t...
Are those the new phantom boots?! How do you like them? I'm on some old moded tlt 5s and I'm contemplating the phantoms or the atomic backland w/ mod
First you have to put your video somewhere else, like youtube. On the post toolbar here, click the video icon just right of the photo icon and paste the video url into the url box in the pop-up window. Done!
Quite welcome, Mack. From the forecasts, it looks like a refill is coming. And I completely hear you. Had to walk in trail runners to Pebble Creek and I didn't have microspikes so it was a bit dicey going upto Panorama Point and I want to skin from the parking lot. ๐คฃ๐คฃ
I want to go again weekend after this one for some freshies as some snow is happening this weekend with a slight break and again starting right before next weekend. Even a few turns would be great. :)
Thanks for the TR. Surface looks good up there. I confess that after 3 months of trips to PanPebble I am eager to skin from a little closer, like from a parking area ๐
Damn dude, looks like an amazing day up there!
Can't believe I went for a bike ride this weekend instead of skiing. Live & Learn
Thanks for the TR - Looking like this next couple days its going to get covered again, better than most places still! Should be a super nice, bluebird, maybe busy weekend up there. The rest of the cascades don't look like they will get a huge dump until next week.
Lets hope 20 stays open!
Hey, I recognize those p-cord and grip-tape wrapped ski poles, and that Bogus Basin-tested form. Hi Pat! Schralp hard (but not too hard...it is still early November ๐) for us stuck out east. Hey, there was a skiff on the lawn this morning, so it shouldn't be long out here either, such as it is.
Thanks for letting me join your group. 1st turns of the season were worth skinning over logs and gravel! -Jim
"Something about walking on rime ice and eating pb & js really centers my life." ๐
oh man! Awesome! Glad you are out and about. I thought you'd already done the surgery.
Able to skin and ski from/to TH?! Wowwww... winter is here!! Great photos.
To be fair that slope was spicy. Saw that and cut steps as best I could for 10 mins with my pole Lololol, then I took a nap.
That someone was me. :) A little abrasion on my elbow... Jerry of the Day.
Jelly. Muir's a little far for me now.
Thanks @GregLange
Bagley Lakes is looking desperate. I know weโve skied that one before. Fortunate, with the latest storm in the Okanagan. Baker always gets hit. Wonโt be long before it stacks up.
Thanks Mack. Great to see you again and to meet the others.
Traslin Brothers. What a way to spend your time in Canada! A bit envioius down this way...and way to go with the TAY numbers growing!
"All powder skiers are equal, but some are more equal than others." (Thanks, George Orwell!)
