Isn't the West peak a good deal higher (and rocky and unskiable) than the East one that we both tagged?
I had fun this same day, but you had to know where to go to avoid the wind blasted surfaces.
Let it snow!
Epic, especially to finish with a bike failure! I remember biking that road out with my commuter rig to be the most dangerous part of the trip to Anderson and back.
Phil Fortier and I went in there t...
Alisse, thanks for sharing this even later after the fact! It sounds like you learned a lot and I think I learned something or it reinforced something for me reading it. I have been "there", not in th...
Gnarwal, glad you made it through the gauntlet!
I have heard tell that a lot of the hardcore crushers that ski this line (who don't post on social media or forums) often do the up-and-over. I think t...
Sounds spicy! I have looked up at those gullies under the coxcomb and wondered. I don't think many people, if any, have traveled through there. Way to come out of it all good.
Awesome

Quite the linkup of a bunch of steep faces in powder no less!
Sick!
It seems like the elephant trunk is widening as the glacier recedes, especially comparing Drew and your photos.
Funnily enough, I watched Jere Burrell snowboard this line last spring on the sa...
That face really is a sweet line. Quite a treat to get alpine pow and then corn in the same run.
I'm psyched you guys got the Royal with Corn instead of the Royal with Shaved Ice or Cheese. Good choice avoiding the rap
Nice work! Using that free time wisely.
Tried to include a photo here of the route from January but can't get the forum to let me 🙈
Went and got this done yesterday with Brendan. We were able to enter from the Sisters glacier side and skied the line top-down. Unfortunately, about the same kind of runnely conditions as last time, b...
Still cool that you got out there!
Trip Reports
Nicely done, that side of Spider looks relatively friendly!
Impressive! How did you figure out access?

this website still kind of works
It really does look like the sill glacier ice is nearly gone. Kind of nice to think that if I ever decide to try the CJ that those ice blocks might not be above me.
Cool to see a report from this are...
Nicely done finding the goods, Sam
I am amazed that you had the gas to double-summit that mountain and ski such a gnarly line on the second lap
I appreciate the report.
It sounds like you went up the ridge, or did you take the glacier center?
Bummer to not succeed, but good call. The mush this year is gnarly!
Sounds like a bit of a sufferfest, but wow that's some beautiful country to have to yourself.
I got some photos of you guys skiing the Coleman headwall on Friday with my zoom lens. I'll eventually post them up here.
The biggest potential user group would be for snow play, actually. People in the area have very few options beyond driving to Hwy 2 or even 90. That has the potential to serve a lot of people that don...
There are a group of us organizing to get the road opened as a sno-park in winter. Stay tuned for when you can lend a letter of support to the usfs. It is a great location and would be nice to be able...
That's gotta be my favorite climbing route up Tahoma, what a cool position. Skiing down, the best snow top to bottom I've ever had on the big volcano. Rock scramble looks a bit spicy right now
