Sooo rad. Keep those photos coming! Furthermore, I'd love to have a 1920 x whatever sized images in 72 dpi for use as a desktop. It will be painful to look at while at work, but it will be inspiring.
Do you have a slightly higher resolution image of the first or second photo that you'd be willing to share?

Nice work, Becky and Pete! You nailed the weather window. We were a day behind you... Saturday was gorgeous, Sunday dawned nice but clouded up quickly. The snow stayed crusty all day but at least the weather held until we reached Flute summit in a whiteout at mid-afternoon. Awesome traverse, would love to do some more skiing along the way next time!

Beautiful area....AND TRIP....Thanks for sharing!!!!
Sorry we missed you, Robman.
Darryl and I skied out of Narada on 4 inches of untracked and unaffected... Great skiing. Saw not even one person or snowshoer all day (ours was the only car in the parking lot when we set out) until running into Ranger Dan in the lot at the bottom of Narada Face. Dan's truck and two other cars in the lot upon our return.
It appears that we may be the only heathens that frequent Rainier :)

Strong work, John & partner! You like those long snaky lines. What is the broad gully to the left of your couloir (skier right)? It seems as though it's full of avy debris and/or rock. N
Hey Niko! That is Rat Creek.

Nice one Trevor et al. Been looking at that one for a while. Did the exit go on skis?
Yes the exit was skiable, although it required a little side slipping

Strong effort for what must have been some great turns.
I would love to ski some of those couloirs myself. Thanks for all the great photos.

Have to say, I'm pretty impressed by the amount of quality trips people had this past weekend. Sure is nice to be part of such a motivated and talented community.
Agreed.
Thanks for posting your trip. It sure is nice to share in what the more motivated and talented members of our community are up to. ;)

Karl and Eric Blumhagen
mid 90's
207's
no axes
night night
Does anybody know more about this descent? Anybody know Karl and Eric Blumhagen? I'd like to capture whatever information is available for my records. (I sent a PM to alpentaliban for more info.)
Right on...way to fulfill the vision.
good to see the pics! nice sense of motion for sure.
the debris looks downright manageable, white but nothing horse sized...

nice pics John. looks like some fun lines!
It kills me to look at this - while at work. ;)
Awesome! I'm glad someone was up high enjoying the fine weather!
Beautiful pictures Pete and Becky. I thought we would be on the surfboards by now but this has to be the best April for powder skiing I have experienced in the Cascades. I have yet to do the Spearhead and will be looking at doing it this spring sometime in corn conditions.
My son Stewart, PNWBrit and I did it 23 and 24th. Weather started coming in on Sunday morning.
Back to Whistler base at 4.00 Pm on Sunday to live music and cheesburgers at the base.
First time for me and the last time I every carry an overnight pack on it.
Absolutely right..... either a one day or >3 days as a two day pack toooo heavy.
Stunning traverse.

The climbers scratching up classic crack looked at us as if we were aliens as we walked by with skis and boots.
That's awesome...
Strong work guys. Very cool.
Well done. North side of Cannon Mtn looks interesting in your last pic.
Wow.
Killer trip, Ryan... way to slay 'em.

Thanks Kevin! I left out the carnage about the deproach. As you know, the mudslide closed the road about 1.5 miles from 8 mile road. On top of that, there are two miles of dry road to hike back to bridge creek c.g. We ended up hiking a total of about 4 miles back to 8 mile c.g. Nice work John. I can see why you wanted ski that line!
In regards to the approach, they still have some work to do to clear the road I assume?

Yeah fellas, super trip! Steph & I were thinking of you and hoping you were having a good time. Now we know you had a long time too ;)
Mofro, if you'd been on board we'd have been out before nightfall.
Erik, we came out west of Gold creek, and crossed that beauty with deer-like grace right about a mile from the trailhead. We'd been following a faint but relatively recent skin and dog track from Alaska but got fed up with unfamiliar uneven terrain. And you may be right about the question mark peak, but I think Trevor's got it right.

Serious mileage, for sure. Nice one, guys!
Nice work and great picts!!
That mystery peak got me to pull out the topo software. My guess is that your '?' is actually Chair. The ones labeled Chair and Kaleentan are Kaleetan and maybe Roosevelt. Not quite enough pixels to be sure...
WRT to the exit, did you follow the summer trail or do something different? How did the NE bowl of Alta look?

Way to utilize the daypacks! Monstrous outing Ryan & Eric.
The question mark peak is a satellite peak of Mt. Snoqualmie that borders skier's right of the Crooked Couloir.

Awesome TR and a fantastic effort.
Way to pack it all into a single day, w00t!

And I thought Louie and I's nine hour trenching effort on Baker was hard!! Good work Ryan!
(I gave a shudder looking over at the Coleman Headwall. The bottom ice cliff is not the nice fan that I like to ski above when I get on steep slopes.)

love looking at the pictures here at work on a rainy Monday ! wonderful!
way to go eric and ryan !!
Very cool Ryan. Awesome area, eh. Way to get out there. That line off Chikamin is super nice...and a good plan b for sure.
What a beauty of a day!
Gotta admit, when Zbo told me you guys were heading out to Chikamin Sat, I was a little jealous.... I was not 21 hrs jealous or GC exit jealous though. ;)
