Yup Scott and I skied the W face last year with intentions of skiing the N face but poor vis and questionable stability led us to ski the W face.

Was pretty happy to get the N face this time.

Maybe John should have taken it easy on his feet and done one lap. ;)

sweet conditions, so much so that John lapped it up twice... though no use talking conditions two days later. Excellent company for sure, always worth a mention.

It is great to see that the snow returned to the front side for you two.  Sounds like it was fun.  Good skiing,good tracking.  It makes me wonder if that is the same cat we almost ran into, missing by a few minutes, back in December??

Now that is a great TR and adventure.  This becomes a baseline trip for future adventures when friends start swapping "now let me tell you about my..."   ;)

We skied it pretty systematically, discussing the slide potential as we went down, rather than a one shot run, we were concerned more for our safety than just having one sweet fall line run. Been in to many slides now to not justify a safe ski verses just going for it.  ;)

I met you at the end of Snow Lake on the way out.  Nice talking with you guys, and seeing your Monika Kitty.  Great pictures of your tour - thanks!, because mine came out crappy.

After I discovered there were little slices of un-sun-affected powder going down to Source Lake I had a really nice ski down to the luge run.  If I stayed tucked into a north side of one of the little creek drainages, it was still very soft..

I would also like to add a comment about gear. Outer hardshells to be specific. I had gotten increasingly wet over the last year or so as my 13 year old Patagonia Storm parka delaminated inder the pack straps. After getting drenched in our previous trip it was suggested that I sent my parka back to Patagonia for warranty. I thought that was a little over the top, but with the cost of a replacement at $400+ I decided to try. I was totally amazed to get a credit for my old on...

Groovy!  We did it today.  Spectacular!

BTW, Anita wants to do a tour with you  :)

Nice job getting after it!  That one been on the list for a few years, would love to get back there sometime.
