But SHE is not a free-heel vegan( as far as I know) like the SHE at Mission that you know.
SHE says what SHE thinks and I kinda dig that!

Yes, SHE...is a patroller at Crustal and more significantly , married to John Kircher the General Manger and member of the Boyne Group that owns Crustal. Are you sure? I click on the link and it comes up as untitled.

Back on topic, I agree with her premise. Even splitboarding is less efficient than AT gear - most split boards don't have full metal edges in split mode, and most boarders tour with soft boots. Ever tried to set a traversing skin track on a frozen crust with soft boots? Its tragic to watch.
Snowboards excel at going down. If that's all you need to do, its the perfect tool. Its more fun in more snow conditions. The minute you need to traverse, tour, boot pack, or wear crampons, it is less efficient than a pair of skis.

If you run a ski resort ...
If you patrol a ski resort ...
If you make snowboards ...
If you sell snowboards ...
If you invest in companies that make/cater to snowboards/snowboarders ...
If you get a kick out of seeing overdispersed flayed and fallen snowboarders ...

From my point of view most split boards do have full metal edges. Also, most of the people I know with splits have stiff boots. And with crampons I can traverse/climb anything in all kinds of conditions and have never had a problem keeping with any skiers that might be in our group.
Is skiing more efficient? Of course it is. That efficiency is most apparent on low angle or flat areas.
Is snowboarding more fun? Well...don't knock it till you've tried it. Any inefficiencies while touring are well worth it once you start descending.
