Who'd thought of running into two "Wenatchee-ans" with skis in September, but it was nice to finally meet longtime TAYers and to ski together! We did one lap from 8k' down to Pebble Creek in the...
Still good on Wed!
Nice trip! There is much less snow compared to the last year (04-26-2018):
The upper slopes are mostly East facing and the winter sun does't hit it much. The snow might stay powdery especially in steep chutes down to the lake. The trail is broken, nothing to...

Great skiing on Friday too:
Kinda swapping destinations, you were on Rainier and I was on Sloan Sunday. Are you on a corn harvest trip? I haven skied any corn yet, just late powder snow.

Nice! Thanks for the TR, I was just wondering how the snow pack is up there. How's driving the last miles?
Thanks for the beta, I'll be heading up there very soon.
Was this a night tour after spending a day on Green Mtn? ;)
Mike and Dave:I've been using Meidjo bindings for a few seasons. But those in the photo are home-made prototype functions like Meidjo. So far, so good. I'll post some pics and info someti...
So, that's where you went. A nice Milky Way shot above Rainier; it must be the time of the year, I guess. Glad you got some skiing ;)
Paul and I skied Vesper 17th, Tue. Didn't put skis on until after over the pass. Still good skiing higher, and NO pollen issue! Did one run on the west flank. The south slope looked good, it...
I say, the job done right! Hoping to spend some "days" myself sometime soon.
2~4" of soft slush on top of denser slush above ~6000', then just deeper slush, but firm and bumpy snow in the forest. Haven't seen corn snow yet :(
Nice shots! Sounds like I should wait a bit longer until the snow firms up. Thanks for the TR.
Yes we did ski it. I've seen that name, but had forgotten. The 3rd pic above was about the 1/4 way down the gully. The recent snow fall must have been a bit deeper there then sloughed off unde...
Sounds just like your kind of trips, thanks for the TR!
I'm glad my TR was helpful. Looks like you guys had much better skiing ;)
You guys had better skiing given those smiles than us at end of our traverse a few weeks ago. I might go back up there before it melts out.
I really enjoyed the tour, the condition was very good for traveling though not ideal for turns. W all want to go back and ski many slopes we just skinned across.author=Dave_R link=topic=36110.msg147...
Nice tour as usual, thanks for your TR!
We did park in that little shoulder this time. I've parked at the entrance to the service road just West of the shed, as well as the wider shoulder further near the Nordic center. A mtn guide lo...

Very nice! We were talking about the traverse when we were on Arrowhead/Rock. It's definitely on our list. Good to know the Swath is in a good shape. I love skiing powder...
The 8 track was by David, I'd have skied in an open ;) He may have felt that line was the safest in that bowl. It was a little gentler and a slight rib.It is David's van, I was just a pass...
