Last trip of Winter, Valhalla Lodge

Canada BC

It's been almost 6 weeks since we were at Valhalla Mtn lodge in South Columbia BC. That trip became my last Winter trip this season, hopefully I can still catch some Spring snow when this home-stay will be lifted.  Anyway, you can browse some photos while being stuck home.

The lodge is located due NW of Nelson BC about 30 linear-miles, also due West of Kokanee Park.  Janie gathered 10 of us, 4 on tele, pretty rare these days.  There are many slopes skiable within easy reach from the hut, both alpine and tree runs.  Here is an official map with named runs:

Rhino peak behind:

The snow pack was deep this year and fairly stable though many alpine slopes were wind-packed.  Looking East toward Valhalla Prov Park:

One sunny powder day:

Skiing was great below treeline all week except one day after strong wind overnight.

A few clear evening:

Valhalla gang:

Many of us skied over 30k', pretty good for an old tele guy.  There are too many photos to post, more here: Valhalla 2019

Thanks for posting this eye candy Kenji.  Must have been fun!
