Thanks for the report Eric. Was the snow cover continuous from the highway?

Ditto and is there any sign of the trail? It is mentioned in one of Beckey's guides.
The future of ski mountaineering is in link-ups. "Kinda steep" and "pretty far."

This tour looks like a good one.

You gentlemen have planned your trips well lately. Thanks for inspiring. What an amazing area.

Great pics!

Excellent report!  That bike pic is priceless.  How far were you guys able to get on the bike?  Did you go up the road or up beverly turnpike?

That's the Bridge Creek road we're riding up. We got nearly to the TH. Skinned all the way from there. It'll probably be melted out in a week or so....???? Maybe, that's what the Rangers said anyway. Th...
Way to link up the north face runs Kurt and Forest.  That looks like to have the potential to be a classic tour.  Leap Creek is one of my favorite places to out of the Methow.  So beautiful in there.  Thanks for sharing this nice looking trip.
cool tour!

yesterday was incredibly beautiful in those parts--we encountered your tracks periodically during a tour that included the superfly (i think it's called Open Fly) couloir on Mt Hardy--scored mucho powder.

thanks for the skin-track from hardy to tower!  i owe you a beer.

This was not a first descent.

Yeah, if you are going to (attempt) to sh*t on somebody's TR, could you please at least provide some info to back it up?

great trajectory! way to take advantage of that giant loop in the highway.

Dammit Scott!  At this pace you're going to ride the Eve Dearborn Mem. route soon. Jesus. Nice pace this season dude!
Nope. Guess it would still be awhile, possibly 3 to 4 weeks for end of the road access. Mtn bike if you REALLY want it!
Any idea how close to the Esmeralda TH you could get?
Awesome, Scott! Way to send.
Rad. I've always known it would go. Good to know someone finally got her.
for powder y'all shoulda sat tight for Sunday... it's not exactly what we wanted, but it's what we got. Way more than forecasted. It just kept snowing and snowing and with the increasing load and wind effects on the exposed slopes we were crossing, not to mention the general white out conditions, we beat a retreat back to Easy Pass and totally enjoyed the conditions. Even got a little clearing late afternoon. Just wish I could've been there this morning too... before it all w...
Amazing trip, dude. Great TR and pics!
Wow. I need a couple of days to recover just after reading this. Kyle, Thanks for taking the time to chronicle an amazing adventure. Glacier Peak Wilderness is pretty isolated and it took incredible fortitude for you to continue. I kept groaning every time another part broke. Is it harder or easier when there is no one else around to whom one can gripe?
Nice work Andy and Robert!

Joe, we were just glad the sleds didn't catch on fire!! ;D

Don't know what your talking about  ;)

Nice pics Boot..
One of my favorite areas and fortunately close to home.
I like the one of Kyle going across the hidden lake at Tamanos. On a solo trip several years ago, I had a little episode with a bear family in there.
...........and there is always an entry and exit fee!
Great riding with a great friend and touring partner made for best  day of the season for me.

Save some meniscus for next year . . .
Hello Nick!
We almost crossed paths.  I joined a trip led by Hans S.  Our plan was to head up Beverly Ck, ascend up the ridge on the northeast, then up ridge to top out at ~6700 (Bean Pk), then drop down Bean-Earl cirque & Bean Ck for the trip out.  But lee side breakable crust & firnspiegel, + very strong ridge top winds, ended our tour atop Bean(?) Pk.  So we dropped back down the ridge we came up, & down into the Beverly drainage again.  Great corn and good cruising down to w...
mmmmm delicious.

Awesome work!

It truly is a treat to get great snow on the upper slopes of a volcano.

WOW, a beautiful day, fresh powder and good photos.  :)
Thanks a lot Kyle for giving up all the secret spots  ;)
Well I've followed your trip reports this winter and been impressed withstanding the long tough approaches, solitude and exposures. I put myself temporarily in your boots and it's been (more than) exciting!

Would that put you right back into the box?

Suppose that is a double boxitive.
Wow. Sorry to hear about the ski! Will definitely keep a lookout as that's one of my favorite areas to go. Way to keep it fun despite the adversity!

Man I gotta get out of my box on my outta the box style.

Would that put you right back into the box?
La chaine de Stuart c'est un très beau coin des Cascades, je suis content que vous y êtes allés avec un metéo/conditions si partfait. Bien fait les gars! Belles photos également, Dahu. Ca doit être difficile avec deux jambes racourcies...

You are awesome TKM!!  ;)  Keep it going and safe.
Great trip Kyle and Boot! Keep the stoke going Kyle!  8)

I am starting to feel like TAY is becoming more like Go Big and Turn All Year.  ;)
