Hooper's hot sandwiches are pretty darn good (haven't eaten their cold ones)--the meat on the reuben is 'melt in your mouth' tender. I'd suggest calling in the order at about exit 45.
Already mentioned, but can't say it enough, North Bend Bar & Grille for all things food and beer. Boxley's is tasty too (but more expensive), or just a fine place if you want to sit by a fire and sip a quality cocktail.
Snoqualmie Brewery's beer is great, the food is not bad, but their service is often hit-or-miss.
With Edgewick (Exit 34) & L Taco closed I haven't been able to fill the portable burrito void---anybody have any ideas?

Anyone eaten at Hooper's Deli in North Bend? Rumored to be pretty tasty.

For ski trips into the Wallowas Terminal Gravity Brewery in Enterprise Oregon has the Best Hamburgers this side of the Portal.
They serve their burgers from locally grown beef and their beer will make you not want to leave.

Just found a new one (for me) on the way back from Baker. Take the hwy 9 cutoff from 542 down to 20, about halfway on the left side is a place called "Blue Mountain Grill" that has some pretty decent home cookin'.

Embarrassingly enough, I have lived in the Sno valley for 18 years now and have never been to Rhoadies, clearly a travesty. Based on all the great comments, I must go.
Heard from my step son that there now is a Popeyes at Kens too, says its good.
Might be a bit out of the way, yet for a good and affordable breakfast check out the Mt Si Golf course restaraunt. Served till 2 PM.
Off topic, but I personally really miss the old Family Pancake House at the Pass. I had so many a good meal there in the 90s and was sad to see them lose their lease.
Prior to that in the mid-80s before the hotel/restaurant was built, there was a great little location at the DOT rest stop that had sit down service. Run by a really nice lady and her daughter, my ski partner had a crush on the daughter.
One day while ordering food, we started to talk about skiing. And she says "I skied shot 8 last week" to which we were blown away as we had not skied it at that point (yet, my bro later on became a Pro at Alpy, his control route included Shot
, and knew she was more of an intermediate skier then advanced or expert.
So he looks at her and has the classic Freudian slip and says back to her "did you really kiss it". LOL. Still funny to me this day. Of course he meant to say "ski it". To which we found out, btw, that she actually skied Shot 6 (not 8, bit of difference), which still was pretty good for the skinny skis of the day.

The Pancake House is a pancake house again - had waffles there a couple months ago. Not sure if it's the same proprietors.
