The Tall Timbers in Eatonville. Good pub style food and hand made milk shakes.

If you make it all the way over to Leavenworth... the Heidelburger qualifies as a great gut bomb. The 59er Diner at Cole's Corner isn't bad either and has great shakes.
Unfortunately, few things in our area can hold a candle to the Whoa Nellie Deli down at the intersection of 395 and Tioga Pass Road in the Sierra Nevada

speaking of the Sierra Nevada... the Whitney Portal Store has the best cheeseburgers and fries in the world (though after two weeks on the trail, one's opinion may be skewed)
the Schat's bakery in Mammoth and Bishop also are both fantastic...

From Baker/542, Pepper Sisters in Bellingham is another favorite of ours. I also love Boundary Bay, but the non-beer-heads in our crew tend to find the food a little more in their favor at PS, and at least they tend to have a good BB brew or two on tap
. Tried Milanos once over a holiday week spent in Glacier - it was a service nightmare with food taking over an hour to come and they brought me the wrong meal (something I couldn't eat) and the replacement took 40 minutes and nary an apology. Tell me this is an almost unheard of anomoly and perhaps I can try them again. They are, after all, closer to the TH.
I've also eaten at a fantastic Italian restaurant down in cute bricksy Fairhaven (Bellingham neighborhood), but while it was not wildly formal, it is perhaps a little more in that direction than we'd typically go for after a hard day in the hills.
Coming off Highway 20, if you're early enough, the counter service part of the food coop in Arlington has pretty OK healthy food that you can be eating w/in minutes of walking in the door (OK choices at the Bellingham food coop too). And there are lots of good snacks to grab for the rest of the drive home. When coming home much later from out 20, I've spent perhaps too many evenings in the Red Robin in Burlington - fast service, good beer, and the food won't make you sick.
Anyone have any good ideas for the drive home from an Adams tour? That's one that always has my stomach growling. We got some good Mexican somewhere along the Columbia on one trip, but don't recall specifics. I've mostly just packed a cooler with something substantial enough to call dinner.

Every time we've gone to Adams we've camped at the trailhead after the descent and drove home in the morning so if you go that route and drive home via Hood River, I can recommend Egg River Cafe (formerly Egg Harbor - 1313 Oak Street, right along the main road through town) for a damn good breakfast. They close at 2pm though so don't go looking for dinner!
