Stevens - Usually don't stop on the way home, but on the way up a stop at The Sultan Bakery (on the left side of Hwy 2 as you're heading east) for a buttermilk bar and/or a cinnamon apple cup is a must.

Ever get the feeling that that Bakery has a switch that turns that damn stoplight to red just so people get stuck in town longer (or forever if it's a nice summer day) to the point where they get hungry and have to pull in?

Mt Baker Hwy:  Graham's, Milano's or Boundary Bay

These are all great choices, but if you're going all the way to Bham, Boomer's Drive-in is a pretty epic way to end a long day of skiing.

I know exactly what you mean. A tour around Stevens is scarcely a tour at all unless I have a buttermilk bar in my stomach!

The "Old School BBQ" in the school buses outside of Monroe on US2 has some awesome food, and the owners are very nice and quite a hoot to talk to.

The Sultan Bakery on HWY 2. All there meals are HUGE. Breakfast and Lunch for the price of one meal. Turkey Dinner on the way home is pretty surreal. The baked goods are good too.

Milano's in Glacier get a two thumbs way up from me!! Might be my favorite restaurant period. In Bellingham either Boundry Bay Brewery or you can't go wrong with Casa Que Pasa.

Another vote for Rhoadie's BBQ in Northbend as well.

Speaking of Bellingham, if you're into Fish-n-Chips, the Halibut and Chips at the Waterfront Bar and Cafe is a personal favorite. Google the place to find out a bit of trivia about the various serial killers that have watered up at the bar.
