Nice work Jack!!! I appreciated your snow safety insights, I think you made solid choices given the day. Snow safety is hard because everyone has different risk tolerance and perspectives. There is no...
Are those the new phantom boots?! How do you like them? I'm on some old moded tlt 5s and I'm contemplating the phantoms or the atomic backland w/ mod
Yeah we ascended the Talum, we thought about going up the Squak, but decided the Talum seemed more direct. I’ll try that way next time! Lots of good skiing to be had around there!
Skied the Talum on Sherman on July 19, it was great! Mostly smoothish corn till the top couple hundred feet that were a little dirty and rocky. We didn’t quite summit cause there was a schrund/most ac...
Thanks for the beta, glad I didn't have to do that traverse on my splitboard! Our crew was gonna ski NFNWR 6/26, but we ended up skiing a variation of it, than skiing towards the NW ridge. We got exce...
Haha awesome! We summited at 10:30 ish. Going for NWFNR Thursday/Friday- see ya up there!
Awesome! We are on a similar trip ha, I skied S Sister yesterday! It was fun (got it a little late) but not bad for not freezing hard overnight!
thanks for the inspiration & stoke!!
We got to the lot Saturday AM, so probably not our crew.. that’s so sweet you got the Thayer in pow!! I probably saw your tracks, looked pretty dang dreamy. I can’t wait to ski that line soon! First s...
nice photos! making me miss WA out here.. looked like an awesome trip!
thanks for the report! new colorado transplant from the PNW and I was just contemplating riding that line next week.
only your third day!? i know the other two days and one was a pretty mediocre one ;) glad to see your getting some nice turns!
thanks for the beta! i was thinking about a slot lap tomorrow....
we found your skin track yesterday 12/22, and we were SO stoked! thank you guys big time! owe ya a beer... we got plenty of trail breaking too after dropping off the N side of Lichtenberg and certainl...
Thanks man! Let's go ski soon once the pass has some more snow.
I rode Alpental 12/1 and found fun snow on the upper mountain, both the fan and upper nash. Conditions got much worse on lower mountain with a noticeable rain curst (still fun on a splitboard tho!). U...
That's weird, road was good to go all the way to the TH as of 10/28. Although now im sure it's snowy..
No we ended up just taking the fall line corn rather than navigating around the crevasses up high. I think it was the call given how warm it was getting and our timing.
Conditions update, skied the slot today and was still holding some great snow! 8-10 inches of chalky powder that skied really good. Skiing the phantom on the other hand was a bit different....
A little of both! I didn't look at the forecast too closely, just a quick glance at nwac and noaa. NWAC was calling for 15-20 mph winds and NOAA was calling for lighter winds not really enough to...
I rode the slot today and found fantastic conditions! Deep unconsolidated powder, with some dry loose sluff management. Surprised to see no tracks in it when we arrived. Definitely saw some funky skin...
Nice! I rode the north bowl below the false summit of Jim Hill and found some nice pockets of snow mixed with variable crust as we got lower.

author=Good2Go link=topic=37687.msg152825#msg152825 date=1485368611]It was stable Hop. The pictures and report tell the story. You can keep throwing out red herrings about "10cm wind slabs&...
experienced very similar conditions on Mt. Snoqualmie. The phantom slide path skied better than expected, open areas were best where it was wind protected. Poor bonding between new snow and ice layer.
Went up Snoqualmie Mtn. today, awesome snow; 24-30 inches of right side up snow, with an additional 6 inches throughout the day. Saw no signs of instabilities, but limited ourselves to lower angles sl...
Awesome trip! I was checking out that couloir, it looked sweet!
no, but heres a nice quick video from the day http://thesnowtroopers.com/2013/mt-baker-wa-squaktober-corn-harvest/
looked like a great trip! after scott posted the photo of twin lakes i've really wanted to get out there. looks like an incredible zone.
looks like you got it with primo conditions!
