Just throwing up some pics per request, a document of a traverse Andrew, Michelle, Tyler and I did in the Baker area with an emphasis on line mining... yeah we struck gold. Some mighty fine lines in smooth corn conditions were found and mined... temporary tracks left to reflect golden rays of sunshine. That is when the sun did shine...excepting the 5th of July it tended to be somewhat elusive. Both nights were wet and windy, blustery, leaving little incentive for early starts.
I won't go into much route detail here since I don't feel in position to do so, this trip being Andrew's brainchild (and lest the lurking guidebook-ers defile another gem). So I will defer and let him weigh in if he wants to. In the meantime I'm sure the discerning eye will likely be able to piece together a trajectory of sorts.
Thanks too: Michelle for positioning the car for a smooth exit, six pack and all.
We didn't see any other people once we left the parking lot but we did see a large herd of goats on the third day, some of whom sent lines faster than any of us... makes sense in a way, home turf advantage, anatomy and all, but still very impressive. Perhaps Andrew will post a vid.

--with evidence of fairly recent leeward wind slab crown in the background, probably from the cooling period during the latter half of June this year. An impressive reminder that slab avalanches do not care if it's summer or not, do not care if NWAC exists or not. Something to keep an eye out for after summer cooling periods when there's new snow at higher altitudes.
