what app is that for the last picture?
Hey Jaime, my name is John. Like you,
I am a friend of scotts. You may already
know about a memorial for Scott, Saturday
at noonish , chute 7  at mission ridge. Wondering
how best to get the word out? IMO the man
deserves his own thread, no a super-thread,
but a hijack of your TR might have to do! Anyways, I hope
to meet you and many other of scotts friends
there, thanks!!!

            John
Happy new year, you two! pretty pictures :)
I'm sorry for your loss.  I'm sure you were a great friend to him, as you are to everyone.  Lol, linda
That's great to hear Scott! Thanks for extending the invitation and leading the way!

Linked below is my video and write up from the trip

Believe we ran into you at the parking lot before you headed up. We were in the white Tacoma. Good day to be out!
-Is there a name for that sub-peak? I've always wanted to ride that thing... I was supposed to go today... My buddies are up there camping as I type this... Nice pics!
Trees

I think the homeowner's association is running the skiing part of the resort. I don't know about other aspects of the resort (hotel, golf, etc.). The resort did go belly up and a bank sold off one of the high speed quads (the Wildwood Chair), but the other lifts are still in place.

Regarding snowpack- Tamarck's website doesn't seem to report snow conditions, but I dug a pit to look bonding on an ice layer down about 3 ft. I didn't hit ground....
Great idea Gary, bet you felt a lot better than I did the morning of the new year!

Views are great and I like Jan's lights. Someone should build a shelter out that way...
The pictures of the Olympics in winter sun are great.
Great descent guys! That's a cool looking face. That's high on my list now.  I think Kyle Flick skied this by accident last year.  PUTlinkTEXThere
Nice one Ben and Scott!! That's been on my list as well, I however will be doing it as an overnight trip ;)

I'm sitting here with Woods now. He's got something to say
"I need another board Howie breaks sticks"  :-[
Awesome trip Scott and crew -- love the write-up.
Nice way to spend the afternoon and get some exercise. Great pictures as usual Brian.
We need to go skiing one of these days.  :)

Gary
congrats on tagging that one... i know you've been eying it for awhile.

cool to see the photos, too.

i almost wish i hadn't taken that day off from the mountains, but i wanted to rest up for the black hole mission.... some of us have to sleep occasionally!
Nic pics!  Love those show pillows.  I've been seeing them alot this year.
Nice pics! I've been thinking about st Helen's lately. Did you have to buy a snopark pass? Was there evidence of other skiers? Thanks
Detroits finest steep snow walker
neat tour, sweet line!
thanks for yet another on the to-do list...
Thanks everyone, for the kind thoughts, and words.

And haul ass safety last, may well have been his credo.
Great day! There is some nice snow still sitting back there. Skin tracks are getting a little interesting with all the wind blown and sun crusts.  Thanks to Silas for the guidence picking out the correct up tracks from the myriad of intertwined tracks available.
Thanks Roger.  I knew the line was skied by Harlin and Armin 03 but hadn't heard anything about it since then.
Very  nice on so many levels you two.

Perfect way to start the new year.

Thanks for sharing.
Strong work, I enjoy seeing new lines and the conditions look perfect! I'd also like to thank you for the new skin track out of silver, that was a treat!

Scott, your with Plotz getting the big lines, thanks for the pictures........it did happen! thanks

Thanks Jamie! Honored, but I'm not nearly on John's level. He taught me most of what I know, but only half of what he knows. He is  well rounded mountain mechanic. Im just a steep snow walker.

For better or worse, I definatly credit john for...
Forest,  That is an awesome trip... and nice pictures.

It was good to see you the other day.  We'll have to get together soon for a tour such as this one.

You have a good eye for sweet lines.
I thought Tamarack was dead in the bust?  That's great they're running again.  The touring around Brundage is nice too.  It's a good off-the-beaten-path destination.

How's there snowpack so far?
Easily in my top 5 favorite runs in Wa...the fall line is so straight forward despite being broken into 3 distinctly different sections...the images look like it was even more delightful from the last time we did it...(not quite from the summit)

Thanks for sharing Eric and Pete...

Roj
spying the spy -

looks better with a little more snow!

Nice one.  Also cool to be able to start a TR with 'my wife and I'.  Good stuff.
Nice Forrest and Erin!  way to get out a little bit further from the 'norm' and adventure outside the box...beautiful.
A great way to finish the year and the photos were wonderful.  ;)
Nice Forest.  And thanks for setting a better skin track out of Silver Creek!
Spied that line last June and thought it would make a good overnight trip, way to get it in a day!
Awesome -- been up that side in the summer, drooling at what a good ski it would make.  Nice work!
super fun descent--the tour and terrain reminiscent of the Spearhead area in Whistler parts--and a beautiful dry-snow winter day in the E Cascades.

The first pic above shows the face we skied, steepest up top, and mostly pow!

Here's looking back at our tracks:

much thanks to pete and kat.  can't wait to go back!

Ran into Tyler and Katy of Pacific Alpine Guides showing off their new toys at the Pass and a bunch of other folks from outside the area.

New toys = DPS skis. Katy's second day on her Yvette 112's... "Give the gift of uncontrolled childlike laughter this holiday season".

Super fun day, great to cross paths Doug.
I was up that way yesterday (Jan 1). Great snow. I saw a boot track going down the ridge past the katwalk, but nothing that looked like ski tracks.
The smile on young Andrews face in pic five, and the gratitude from everyone has me more stoked then the line itself. Glad we got it as good as it gets.

Thank you guys.

Thankfully you left all that spooning crap in Utah.. It's all aesthetic and purty and stuff but i prefer the chaos and individuality displayed in a nice gang banged slope.

Surface hoar is, unsurprisingly, growing well.

Great pic of the surface hoar
This is a really nice post, Jamie.  Thank you.

I miss Scott too.
I ski on centurys.. the first ones!

It was a beautiful day, with lots of shutter delay to try out my new fisheye lens!

Skied a beautiful line on Shuksan yesterday with Wick watching over us.  We could still see his smile and hear his laugh echoing from the glaciers.

RIP friend......."haul ass, safety last!"

MM
Rad day! Check that off the bucket list. Thanks for the guiding Scott and it was nice riding with all of you. I'll post my pics when I get of of work.
