I would rather have you hamburger my tracks if this keeps you from wrecking the rest of the slope for yoyoing freshies...sometimes it has to be done--rarely of course, and I don't condone.

Also, I'd rather have you snow shoe in my skin track than "venture out" and trash the rest of the slope.  

I don't find it difficult in general too re-skin where others have snowshoed.  Of course in a real "x-country" setting where kicking and glade is the deal --()not finding freshies), snowshoes on the ski traisl really sucks for the aesthetic experience and having the snow shoe track immediately next to the track is really horrible for poling, too.  (How about putting that boot/snowshoe track over a few feet?)

What's the gun for then? What kinda petty sh*t does it get pulled out for(your words)? Is it only for binding repair or shooting holes in signs? Or is it to make sure you're safe from those vicious dogs?

You were implying that if things escalated beyond what happened in your story that you'd have had to use your gun and that folks shouldn't get mouthy with you because they have no idea who they're dealing with. Wasn't that the point of your post?
