The shooting incident is a horrible injustice, so not in any way tempered by the possibility that the mountain took this guy out for the felled ranger, but hoping Rainier itself ended this tragedy ....

KING5 is taking a bit of a leap there... The official word is that they spotted a body and are unable to reach it yet so no ID has been made.

And I know it's piling on, but looking at that picture of the killer with his guns and tough guy face all I could think was what a raging p**sy, so glad most of us on this planet aren't fear-biting cowards too. Makes me appreciate my life surrounded by good people who make the world a better place.

Not how I imagined my first TAY post. I was up at Paradise yesterday and just wanted to say how amazing all the rangers were. They had us inside the visitor center very quickly and did there best to keep everyone safe, fed and occupied. They were really great with the kids. The kids were great too. Many Junior Ranger badges were earned.

My deepest sympathy to Margaret's friends and family.

Come on he was not a member of a political or religious group. He was a lunatic who killed and injured people and while he remained free left anyone in area in terror of being his next victim.
