"All the powder hound doggies on the site are more than a tribe or a community, we are like a pack of wild furry golden eyed wolves with our hair bristled up at the scent of winter and its storms; we all know without having to think or ponder that we are connected because of snow and that connection is a scent and a feeling that goes a long long way and like a pack or a herd or a flock the universal spirit of nature runs through us and with us and carries us to summits and back. Our love is shared and like all doggies some of us are tougher, smarter, kinder, more beautiful, more full of wolf's blood than others, but here we all are because of TAY."

Overheard in my Jeep on the way to Broken Top-
"What do we do if it snows?" - A newbie
"What do we do if it doesn't?" - A shredder

OK, two more:
Oh, these vast, calm measureless mountain days, inciting at once to work and rest! Days in whose light every thing seems equally divine, opening a thousand windows to show us God. All wilderness seems full of tricks and hidden plans to drive us up into God's light.
-John Muir
I've been waiting all year for this day now, but it's not as if I don't like the sunshine. Can you feel the gravity pulling you through the turns and up to the sky?

Keep 'em coming, folks. I love it!

I like it.
If you weren't stoned when you wrote it you'd have likely got the "d" on the end
i.e. "Leave no turn unstoned".

Finally towards spring there was the great glacier run, smooth and straight, forever straight if our legs could hold it, our ankles locked, we were running so low, leaning into the speed, dropping forever and forever in the silent hiss of the deep powder. It was better than flying or anything else, and we built the ability to do it and to have it with the long climbs carrying the heavy rucksacks. We could not buy the trip up nor take a ticket to the top. It was the end we worked for all winter, and all the winter built to make it possible.
