I have inserts on my RT86 installed before my NTN. I did direct mount on Charger using the Rott 6 holes. No going back!
Another insert source: Quiver Killer

.... Randy, how did yours break?
I ripped the steel toepiece directly upward out of the aluminum baseplate.
I was going off jumps that night and what I think happened is the tour level got bumped and slightly disengaged allowing a slight amount of play and then I landed a fairly large jump where I went "knee to ski" on the landing and a few turns later it came loose.

Mine are V2.1 -- Rottefella replaced the broken binding. Marmot Mountain Works was great in handling the service.Wow, that's pretty catastrophic! Was it V1.0? Mine is v2.1 , hope it holds up.
I also have a set of NT Bulldogs in the quiver now -- I've skiied them a couple of times -- they seem pretty good so far -- I like the lighter weight and they might be a bit more precise than the NTN -- but they lack the "disaster release" feature.

I skied most of last winter on NTN, then transferred back to my Guides/T3/3pin CRB in the spring. It was a shock for much of the first day. Felt no power or control at first, and I did not like it. After that first day I adjusted and I spent most of the spring and summer on that setup. I'm really considering putting NTN on those skis this year, but I don't really want to tear up my TX pros hiking around on dirt. TX pros are a bit overkill anyway. I liked the TXs better, but I gave them to Brenda and I doubt she's giving them back. NTN boots are generally lighter than their duckbill counterparts, but I would still like to see an even lighter shorter cuffed NTN boot. More on the order of a T3, for much of what I do in the spring and summer.
Yeah, I was told today (by vogtski) you were skiing the back bowl with Brenda, so I popped down 9-1-1 to say hello and all I found was 2 sets of tracks from the upper bowl leading down to Stevens Canyon; I decided you either wanted some privacy or you were skiing down to Stevens Canyon Rd; hope you had a good day!
