The CookieMonster's Backcountry Etiquette

1. Don't piss in the skin track and cover it up with snow afterwards.
2. Please piss away from the skin track and make sure you cover it up.
3. Don't get in a huff with people who smoke cigars or cigarettes or other stuff.
4. Golden rule works very well.
5. Don't treat every female as if she's just waiting to be hit on.
6. Share snow safety information freely.
7. Don't act like you own the place ( unless you do ).
8. Don't ski cut / drop cornices unless you're sure you won't hurt anyone.
9. Don't be a pushy ankle biter.
10. Remember how fortunate we are to have such high class problems!

Last February I "poached" the Slot Couloir after a group treated it like private property. They certainly seemed irritated by my mere presence at the top. Those imperious c*********s got what they deserved!

When skiing downhill also observe good spacing not just for avy, one at a time, but also not to spoil the other person's run.
I recently started off to soon after another skier, was skiing faster, caught up with them, overtook them and snaked their line!
Bad form, my bad.

Also, if you fart in the skintrack, warn those behind you so they can hold their breath. Silent and deadly not acceptable.

Only dogs are allowed to boot pack or piss in the skin track.

You're not allowed to complain about it.

If on a logging road approach to a powder bowl and a skier on a snowmobile comes up behind you, stop, move respectively to the side of the road and bow your heads as he/she passes.

Better yet, stick out your thumb.
