Scott Kingland could ski powder gracefully wearing snowblades.
Unlike most TAYers he knows how to ski.
That's not the point and I agree with you that low density pow is fairly easy to ski even with skinny assed skis.
However as you point out we live in the PNW.

i've been watching this thread too. I haven't owned anything under a 105 waist for at least 4 years and i was skiing mostly in VT. Frankly I'm appalled that people are suggesting the Baker as a ski for the PNW.
powder 8's are the measure of a good skier? :

I agree 110% Sam. That ski is not worthy of it's Salish art, or of the snow at the mtn. of which it is named...

I implore you to attend LBD @ Alpental this year, usually late April. 210+ <65mm. Good times for sure and a step further back than 1993.
The fat skis I have now are fun in pow, but really shine in isothermal mank.
