spiderzak - Bet you never expected a mass tirade such as this over you simple "what skis should I buy?" question, eh?
This is what happens when the folks in this community have to wait around for new snow to appear in the mountains. Kind of comical and entertaining in a way, but kind of scary, too. :

You will perform better, last longer and have more fun no matter your technique..... I bit like Viagra( or so I'm told..... never needed it myself!)
Scotty, I would think Viagra just might what you need to "up" your game and allow you to last a little longer out there. Or maybe Cialis for a full weekend of enhanced performance.
Why make it any harder to ski the variable snow we get in the PNW backcountry. Superfat skis with rocker makes it much easier ... NO MATTER HOW GOOD YOUR TECHNIQUE OR HOW DODDERY YOU ARE.
So it was written, so it shall be.
The equipment doesn't make you a better skier, but it does/can improve the overall enjoyment for any and all levels of suck. But for those lacking funds or enjoying the simplicity of the "one ski quiver" a ski in the 90-105mm range is pretty versatile for frozen conditions through mid winter pow.

No thanks, my tips are already rockered enough and I've being doing squats as I browse the web for heli ski packages and really expensive ski gear so my stamina this winter's going to be superb.
I scared Viagra would give me too much torsional rigidity and If your torsional rigidity last longer than 4 hrs you need to see a doctor which can interupt your 3:00 PM powder surge.
