Hi Ron,

I am so glad to hear you are recovering so quickly. I would like to break trail for you too this winter.

Here is a link to a cool book by a lady who suffered a stroke leaving her with total expressive and comprehensive aphasia.

She really didnt loose any other higher thought processes and gives a very vivid account of her experiences. It took her a couple years to learn to read and write again, and to understand verbal or written word too. Her best resources were not the speach therapists but early elemenatary school teachers. I think she sells skis in Bellingham though mostly just deals in crosscountry skis.

Alisa

PS I have a copy of "Horton Hears a Who" sitting around that I could mail you...

Me too, Alisa.

And FYI, it is a pleasure any time you are willing to treat us with your presence on a tour.

The aphasia book will be on my read list as my read speed continues to increase.

My S/O is a elementary teacher so I don't want for kid books. But I, nonetheless, appreciate the thought.
I have been totally amazed to watch the brain figure new ways to get thoughts into token words.
