I love an optimist but I fear you underestimate the forces you face.
There are people on TAY who are still arguing over hobnails versus them new fangled vibram soles on mountaineering boots. There are people on TAY who feel that stepping foot on snow without gaiters leads to instant death.
That shorts can only be worn over polypro long johns.
That Gore-Tex is inferior to "oiled cotton"
That velcro is "devils work"

Must be getting close to the end of the "5 days" eh?  ;)

I've already been recommended by salespeople the K2 payback's, the BD Joule's and the karhu Jill's.  I don't know much about the Jill's or Payback's, and I've heard one comment that the Joule's may be too stiff.

Hi!  haven't looked at random tracks for some time but saw your post.
I picked up a pair of Karhu Jills on sale last season and definitely found them too soft.   Very fun in light pow pow and the super slop of spring but not the all terrain ski (too much chatter) sounds like you're looking for.

if you're looking, just an fyi there was a thread last winter under partners wanted for women looking for other women to tour.

...Ron's a sweet heart and I like his jokes ;)

Close!
I like to think of TAY as more of an anthropology class... Like Jane Goodall watching chimps using twigs to eat ants.
