Marcus seems to understand my somewhat inelegant way of trying to understand Scotsman's and PNWbrit's point of view. I fail to see what any of this has to do with racism and bigotry, isn't being Scottish or British about nationality? From pictures I've seen of Chris and his offspring I'm pretty sure we're the same race. Chris and Rob seem to be angry about something and their bantering always devolves into the type of exchanges seen in this thread when the feel they're being attacked, talk about thin skin. I also fail to see how posting on an internet forum with my real name is cowardly, it's in the Wenatchee phone book with my address. You've (Chris) already conceded the point that it probably would be a good idea to set aside some area for non-motorized use outside of Wilderness to reduce user conflict, why not let it go? Now you're just using this forum as a pulpit to spew the same hate and vitriol you claim people aim at you.

I'm still very interested in further explanation of Aaron's comment....
If you don't mind
I'll take my answer on the air please.
From either of you.
if it's because you and Scotsman........are from the UK, you don't "get it".
If you don't mind
I think I get what you're trying to say with the UK/US thing,
I'll take my answer on the air please.

Oh, I get it. It simply removes any credibility from your cries of concern about the orginal "offending" comment. Now two wrongs don't make a right and all that, but at any rate, you come across as simply enjoying kicking up a fuss. Some would call it "trolling." Look it up, Willis.

The United States manages public lands through the
Department of the Interior
, composed of The Bureau of Indian Affairs, the Bureau of Land Management, the Bureau of Reclamation, the Minerals Management Service, the National Park Service, the Office of Surface Mining, Reclamation and Enforcement, The US Fish and Wildlife Service and the US Geological Survey.
The United Kingdom probably does things differently, right?
That's all he was going for. Do you really think he was trying to malign you for being British?

I'm reasonably confident his remark wasn't based on differing administrative systems.... If it were it certainly would have been completely out of context given the rest of his comments in that post.
Not sure if he was trying to malign. But I'm very interested in finding out.
