This IS THE best site on the world-wide-interwebs. Period.

Amen, often people ask is there a site like this in Utah or Colorado or wherever.
There is Nothing of this quality like what Charles has done here along with a fine cadre of contributors.
Speaking only for myself TAY has defined my life for quite a few years now. Probaly only Scotsman has more visits here than me ! Thanks Charles for your hard work and the few times we have been able to ski together. Marcus best wishes and on with show!

Thanks Charles. I remember when this site first came out all those years ago. It was nice to find a group of like minded individuals who were obsessed with skiing every month of the year...just as I was. You created a fine community here. As others have said, 'Thanks for your years of service!' It's great that you are able to pass the site on and keep it going. In so many ways, the internet is changing, moving and evolving. I've always wondered what will happen decades from now to those sites we love. Some will pass on, but many will continue. It is great to see that you are doing so here.

Charles,
Wow, I'm getting all verklempt, and I haven't even met you.  I am so appreciative of the friends I've made on this site!  And to think, I used to turn my nose up at on line dating services, but now I date several men and a few women regularly through TAY!

I was hooked several years back, from my first accidental viewing of a TAY trip report.  A web search for Tatoosh climbing information yielded what was to me a mid summer's dream! - a trip report by Ron Jarvis on earning turns in August on the Pinnacle Patch.  I began lurking more and more frequently, soaking up destination ideas.

But when I saw the first video of Slushcup, I was hooked on the people.  I remember telling my wife "Look at these people, Honey.  I need to know these people!"  And now I know quite a lot of TAYers, and have even slept with a few!  (Thanks, Brad, for that amazing, rainy night on Heliotrope! And David, for that sublime night on the Squak!  You were amazing, and I wasn't so bad, myself! ;)

I've done things I would never in a million years have thought of, without the inspiration of the TAY community.  And I've learned more in a few years of pouring over TR's than I would've learned in a lifetime of reading Paul Parker's book.  And as I glide into geezerhood, I know that if (when, as) my memory fails, I won't worry, because the wealth of information is all stored here for me to rediscover.

Marcus, thanks for taking over, and I look forward to skiing (and sleeping:) with you in the future!  TAY rocks!
Rusty

Though I live nowhere near all of you and I'm an intermittent visitor to the site I figured I better chime in too. Charles, I truly think you've created magic here sir. I've always thought that anyone who dedicates themselves to finding year round turns has got to be of good stock (hell - I am, ergo you are ;D) and upon stumbling on your site I believe this even more so. You've brought an amazing community of great people together - heck of a legacy there Charles, congratulations.
Best of luck Marcus!
Go TAY!
Gary

You folks are my home page!
Thanks for helping me find the sport passion that is sustaining me through the Middle Ages,
and from everyone who thinks this is the only website worth wasting time on.   ;D
