Congratulations, Marcus.
I was quite pleased to hear of Charles' choice for his successor.
Charles, it takes a quality human being to step down from something he created from scratch, just because he doesn't want to see it wither for lack of attention. But of course your values and character have continued to shine through from the start. The hand off to Marcus is just another example. It has been an honor and a privilege skiing and working with you.
Thanks for building it and thanks for handing it off to the right person at the right time.
Welcome as the new leader, Marcus. I can tell you're made of the right stuff to carry the torch on aptly.

Charles,
Thanks for the years of selfless service. You demonstrate service, passion and integrity that is too rare these days. You will be missed.
Marcus, We've never met in person, but I have always appreciated your even tone and informed opinions (and good TR's!). I am sure you will do a fine job.
PS: I got three crackers from Stu nazi yesterday without even asking. My secret technique will be revealed in another post

Charles,
I also echo the sentiments of others - thank you. Through your site I've met many ski friends, including skiing with you! I hope you don't give up the backcountry and when you want to go out, you'll have lot of people to ski with.
From the little I know of Marcus, he seems like the perfect choice to carry the torch.

Thank you for the community that you have convened here at TAY Charles. I hope that life after TAY will still provide us with opportunities to cross paths (or even tracks) outdoors...whether on the beach or in places like Grand Park.
Thanks also for the deliberate thought you have put into this passing of the TAY baton such that it will continue to play an important part of our daily lives here in the pNW.
The offer of a place to crash still stands should you find yourself needing time on the Nordic gear.
Thank you Marcus, for all that you will put into caring for this community.
Best Wishes,
J.P.
