Wow, thanks for sharing that link. Great stuff!!
The bloody face in the opening brings back fond memories of the good old young and dumb days of my life, hammering it out at Alpental on the cow hides and skinnys.
I used to have one of those one piece bag outfits, so I would not get snow packed down my shorts after launching, landing and well, uh sometimes crashing! :D
In retrospect comparing to today's tele gear it amazes me that we could ski those things, and many folks still ski them religiously!
Oh and another thing I liked in the film is the relentless pace when skinning up-awesome
Thanks again.

I've seen everyone I know (exc. one on this site ;D. v*gtsk*) add modern skis/boots to their quiver (but keep some of the old just for real old-fashioned fun).

But I couldn't believe how those guys were stomping uphill! Talk about excess energy!

May I suggest the K2 Piste Stinx?  Great friendly ski, will put you up to intermediate pretty quickly.  Hardwire bindings, T2's or something similar.... This ski is a good compromise while you perfect your weighting and edging with front and back skis.

Piste Stinx are out of production (I think), but I'm sure there are lots out there on the Web (overstock, and cheap) for sale, as they produced thousands of pairs before the fatter skis came into vogue.

I'm tired of splitboard v. alpine v. tele...

Time to start backcountry intertubing on a new level!

Thank you and well said!
Let's all just go out and play (regardless of the equipment choice) and leave the arguments to politicians.
