You make an extremely good point. I was previously under the impression that you needed to have knowledge , skill and be an expert in the particular field you are critiquing but I turned on the news tonight and realized you where absolutely correct.!

You Sir or Madam have my respect. Can I persuade you to run for the Vice-presidency of TAY???

Actually I have and I flipped her right back as I am neither age nor gender biased!

In all honesty when I am driving to the mountain on a work day when others are commuting, I sit in the traffic jam and point to my skis on the roof rack to fellow travellers and gloat. I know this is wrong and mean-spirited but I just can't help myself!
Some give me the "right on dude" Shanka, but mostly I get the finger.
I find it strangely satisfying and the realization that I am a "sick puppy" doesn't diminish my glee.

TO PROPOSE THAT ONE MUST EXHIBIT SOME MEASURABLE SKILL LEVEL IN AN ACTIVITY OR OTHER PURSUIT IN ORDER TO CRITIQUE IT IS AN ABOMINATION. IDEAS LIKE THIS COULD BRING AN END TO MODERN CRITICISM AS WE KNOW IT. IMAGINE IF THE DIVING OR GYMNASTICS JUDGES AT THE OLYMPICS HAD TO DO FLIPS AND TWIRLS. MORE IMPORTANTLY, WHAT IF WE DEMANDED THAT THOSE WHO TELL US WHICH MOVIES TO SEE HAD TO ACT OR DIRECT!!!!!
