I notice the dearth of new topics---not much new gets posted around the end of August.  Wonder why?    : 

How about:  Should a guy who posts and surfs ski sites at work get to complain about how overworked he is?

Seriously, these are good topix and deserve their own threads.  TAY is the only website worth dinking around on, partly b/c it's got a positive tone.

Since this is a post about arguments I have to respectively disagree with your comments about TAY being the only worthwhile site. Although TAY is my first love, I am also think TGR is a great site albeit not for the faint of heart, Wildsnow a great site and TetonAT a great site. I have my reservations regarding Telemarktips !!!

I personally like some negativity as when  it all gets too "khumba Ya 'ish" certain parts of my anatomy start to pucker up. It's that YING and YANG thing. Need both.

Upon viewing the ski videos on this site, I have two words for y'all- SKI SCHOOL!!

Lahar_Dar your critique of the  skiing abilities of some ( not all) of  posters on this site is probably justified especially if you have ever seen me ski. However, this implies that you are sufficiently gifted in your skiing/riding ability to be able to give such criticism. Having reviewed all your posts I can find no pictures or video of you in action.

Can you please submit, pictures, videos and documention of your skiing/boarding ability or reference a post where it is displayed so we can see if your superiority is justified as it relates to skiing.

And while you're digging up those ski videos, how about some rappel videos as well? Might as well critique your rapelling skills while we're at it. Plus anything else that shows you can handle a wicked sunburn and/or long periods without food and water.

Being, generally, a LURKER! I have rarely been motivated to reply to posts on ANY!!! webbimiboard. HOWEVER, statements such as those above cannot go unchallenged.

TO PROPOSE THAT ONE MUST EXHIBIT SOME MEASURABLE SKILL LEVEL IN AN ACTIVITY OR OTHER PURSUIT IN ORDER TO CRITIQUE IT IS AN ABOMINATION. IDEAS LIKE THIS COULD BRING AN END TO MODERN CRITICISM AS WE KNOW IT. IMAGINE IF THE DIVING OR GYMNASTICS JUDGES AT THE OLYMPICS HAD TO DO FLIPS AND TWIRLS. MORE IMPORTANTLY, WHAT IF WE DEMANDED THAT THOSE WHO TELL US WHICH MOVIES TO SEE HAD TO ACT OR DIRECT!!!!!
