VertFest 2008

VertFest 2008 Early Announcement

We had so much fun last season that Outdoor Research, Crystal Mountain, and Alpental, are teaming up to bring you the 2nd annual VertFest in March 2008. This time VertFest will extend to two events:

VertFest Crystal on Saturday, March 1

VertFest Alpental on Saturday, March 29

Mark your calendar and join us for these celebrations of backcountry VertiCulture. Net proceeds will again be donated to the Northwest Weather and Avalanche Center and events will include randonee rallies, randonee relays, demos, clinics, Lazy Boy beer, gear raffles, and more. Courses will be set again this year by Martin Volken and his guides and both events are USSMA sanctioned.

I’m jumping the gun a bit by posting this information and fine details are still being decided, but I wanted to get the dates out out as soon as possible. The website isn’t updated yet, but when it is you will find the freshest VertFest information at:

Is there a splitboard category, that would be a first!

My wife and I would be so happy if there was a splitboard category. I'm sure some of the people over at splitboard.com would be into it as well.

Can't wait for the Alpy event, Kaj -- last year's rally was great.

Why a separate splitboard category though? There's no separate tele category... just curious.
