I suppose that's true, though a couple of my regular ski partners can assemble their splits and be ready to go as fast or faster than the average skier. That's not racing, of course. Then again, I'm not so fast that 15 or 30 seconds is going to make a difference.

Sorry for the radio silence recently. Holidays and all, eh?

We've been doing a lot of work preparing for VertFest and I'm happy to report that we will have BOTH tele and splitboard categories for both Alpental and Crystal. Thanks very much for taking the time to give us your thoughts on the subject. Please spread the word so we fill these categories with enthusiastic participants!

We are still planning to go live with registration on the 4th of January.

Great stuff, I wonder if this is the first time splits have done these events with the skiers?

There were couple splits at a whistler race a couple years back. I was impressed how well one of them did.

It would be great to see these events grow. They are a ton of fun and a good way to get this community together.

VertFest Registration Update:

We were shooting to go live with registration today, January 4, but we ran into a last minute snag. Terribly sorry about this - we're now looking to be up and running with registration on Monday, January 7.
