Constance is a bear, and not one many should poke....here's to your ascent and the Olympics!
just an FYI: joeb was kind enough to impart that no, he is not aware of any ski descents. if anybody does know of any, still interested in hearing about it/them...
thanks guys for sharing the misery that is the jungly n fork. a cool thing about the s fork/divide approach, besides the trail, is that you get to follow this cool ramp feature that seems like ma nature dropped it there just for us ski-trippers.

Another vote for not attempting the N fork tunnel creek. Took my bow for a walk up there once. Jungle gnar. Might be fun in the hot summer with dry understory.

Ghostly and erie ! Like the Dark Side of a skiers moon . Any glowing one eyed snow snakes ? Bizarre , not so parallel universe. Aspen may look like this someday unless we "Make America Great Again" Thanks . Xth. Mtnr.
Kyle-
Thanks for the narrative on another out-of-the-way place. Slopes look pretty cool too. How long are there? cheers.

I've tried three times now. Once with a friend from lake constance and twice solo up the east side. Never touched the great amp. I made it fairly high the last time with the board but did not summit. I'm not worried about the masses running up there. I've wandered around in the dark up the north fork enough to know its a deterent. This is a long day no matter how you cut it. That route over the divide looks like a good alternate way to go! Plenty of stuff on inner constance and wa...

Me too, keen to hear of any previous descents on this mountain. I recall Salal had at least walked up in there 5 years ago. For that matter, would like to hear if you found a straightforward way up the N Fork approach.
Seems v. unlikely to get overrun if you do have something to share.
Happy to strike "new" from this TR, this daytrip was a recent personal highlight whatever the case. There's more terrain to explore up there too...

Seems like Salal and Joeb's comments vaguely suggest previous ski descents of this route and/or on Mt. Constance generally. Would you like to know more? Y/N

How does the public transportation compare to Metro Transit's I-90 East run?
Well......the bus stops are a little bit run down, the roads are a bit beat up and the buses are pretty crowded but I would imagine it task about half the time to go twice the distance in Russia. ;)
So sick, brother! Way to be slaying - always. Looks like some sweet potential in such an awesome find! Nice work. Planning to get some of that corn, or off to the Lyngen?
Wow. Very unique. Does beg the question how you came to live in Arctic Finland?
thanks so much for sharing, kyle. incredible adventure awaits!
Stout and direct..the way to go on that mountain. Really enjoyed seeing this as I have the carried the plank up there a couple of times. What a great summit. A dynamic spot for sure!
Wow, that's a different land--appreciate you taking us there. Not having been, I've always thought of Finland as relatively flat; didn't occur to me that you are in reasonable striking distance of all kinds of arctic-exotic alpine goodness. (Separately, actually am interested in learning the local's perspectives, should you find time to share.)
Thanks for taking the time to share this.

Thanks for the additional context, Charlie, had not seen that report.
These reports definitely move the area higher on the list for next winter...esp given the opportunities on both sides of the border.

Inspiring. Thanks for the report and photos
Awesome pictures and TR. I sent you a message and would love to discuss offline if you wouldn't mind. Thanks.
Wow! Thanks so much for sharing this glimpse of your life! Love of the mountains

Wow, now that's off the beaten track. Thanks for the Tuesday morning dreaming.
The shot looking down the valley is incredible. Awesome trip!
Good things come to those who wait -- and pounce. Thanks for both keeping the bar high and coming home.
@hedonaut: If you missed this 12/13 TR from Manning, here 'tis. Pretty place, though less steep in aggregate than some other places.
The gnarliest terrain we could see was south of the border. Castle was memorable in that respect.

amazing pics! mt. ann is probably my favourite tour in the baker area
Thanks all! Kamtron, not sure where the N Pasayten is, but yeah that's pretty much the route we took. There's no logging road, just a summer trail that is obviously now covered. The first part of the approach in the morning sidehilling through steep trees on refrozen crud was a bit of a pain in the ass, but the route is pretty straightforward. We actually rode Frosty E1 and not Frosty Mtn proper. The latter is in the 2nd pic. There are some gnarly lines off that peak that I'd love...
Cool report, possibly an interesting way to access peaks in the N Pasayten. How was the access for you? Just an easy jaunt up the ol' logging road? http://www.hillmap.com/m/ag1zfmhpbGxtYXAtaGRychULEghTYXZlZE1hcBiAgICo5-qRCAw
A very enjoyable and thorough report on a rarely visited, and even more rarely skied, route. Truly defines what it means to get after it. It's cool when proper planning and good weather come together to result in a successful adventure, especially given this seasons ever changing weather. Congratulations and thanks for sharing!
very cool! have been in that beautiful area only once in the winter, and gaped at that slope on Frosty and others around there.
thanks for the report, would love to see others from Manning and Canada...

Wow, thanks very much for the report and the photos! Bedal has some of the best views for sure. Looks like the snow was great too!!
Is the fisherman's trail different from the one that Kevin was working on a few years ago?

I think he might have meant the moraine lake that forms at the base of the Thayer Glacier. Isn't Carver Lake at the base of the Prouty Glacier on the South Sister?
Wild!! Strong work as always!
This wins the weeks internet!! Well played, Well Played.
Yeah now! Way to go E$ and Tim!
Glad you found an enabler of your poor judgement and multiplier of the can-do attitude, Sqwehrly. Wish I could have joined you guys.

As always you make it look easy. Nicely done you two!!
Beautiful, way to snag the micro-window
Thank you all for your kind comments!
I totally remember that day and was reminiscing about it last weekend. It was nice to spend two days in the area! Thanks for showing me around 4 years ago.

That looks fantastic, cliff slalom and all. Amazing you squeezed such a big route in such a small window. Nicely done!
Nice views too ...and more lines. You're going to have to go back!

The Professor strikes again. Marvelous.
Thanks for the TR and video. I've never skied it, but at the top of South Brother there's a nice flat spot with enough room for 2 or 3 to sleep. It's quite a light show. We were jealous of the people who slept there a few weeks earlier on the 4th of July.
Standard Radka gorgeous pictures of such a super cool place. Almost as good as the action sequence you took of me there on a spring day several years ago augering under the molten schmoo crust and biffing!
I was driving down and saw the park ranger truck, I must have gotten there shortly after it happened. A small wet snow avalanche slide down and landed on the roof of the SUV caving in the roof and blowing on the windshield. It would have made a great picture but I couldn't stop to take it.
It was an fund day out. It got pretty windy at times but it kept the temperatures down so the snow did not get too mushy until down low.

Good to see you guys up there. Agree with obs. There are some big ass wind features hanging around!
