Climbing helmets decent for skiing?

I just bought the BD Vector helmet for climbing and skiing---if a helmet isn't really light I often shuck it. I used my Meteor for many BC skis before I busted it up.
One problem with climbing helmets is they aren't rigged to fit or wear with goggles easily.
I had to take off the Meteor to put on the goggle strap under it. I'm looking at some cord to hold goggles in place at the back of the Vector; dorky ::) The helmet also shoves the goggles down my face a bit.

Mammut now makes a ski and climbing certified helmet.  The Alpine Rider.  It is just over 12 ounces for the large and has a removable insulated liner (with ear flaps).  It is almost the same weight as my large BD half dome (one of the few helmets to fit my head)

The winter liner is Velcroed to the helmet, so when you take it out, the prickly part of the velcrow scratches your head unless you put the supplied climbing liner in.  (they should have just put the soft part of the Velcro on the inside of the helmet).

I tried it on at NSAW, but did not get to spend a lot of time with it.  (I would like to see how it is with headlamps and goggles).  It comes in two sizes  - the large with the winter liner barely fit my huge noggin - mainly the chin strap was too short, but they said the sample was a preproduction model and may be different when it ships this fall.

Feathered Friends says it is on order and Second Ascent said they can order it - $99.

Looks promising - i would love to try it on again and with a headlamp and googles and my own hat.

Yeah, good point about the goggles.  If you come up with a working system, it would be great to see what you've rigged up.

Thanks everyone for the continued thoughts and ideas!

I tried on the sirrocco helmet a while ago and I think it fits a bit larger the meteor. It also has an elastic clip on the back you can see in the second photo here:

Jonathan Shefftz says this works with ski goggles in a bc.com review:

I'm not crazy about the color or price but the light weight and durability might push me over the edge.

I was fascinated by the Sirroco as well. Tied it on!
Made me look like one of the coneheads from SNL.
I'd have to go around saying " I am from France"..." I enjoy the mass consumption of bacon"...etc.
Incredible lightness but Uber dorky.

Even by my standards (i.e., regularly seen in public skinning up ski areas in lycra skimo suits), my Sirocco is stunningly dorky: max crystal dome effect!
By contrast, my BD Vapor is almost as light, but has a relatively low profile on top, and comes down a bit further on the sides. (Yes, a rare instance in which I prefer something ... okay, not really "heavier" but just not quite as shockingly light.)
