Yes I remember, plus the combination of beer, booze and guns wasn't exactly confidence inspiring and the human targets were just creepy.

How the hell is the fact that the reporter rides a motorcycle (with a photo!!!) relevant to anything?

Precisely because it breaks 2 stereotypes!
A motorcyclist who doesn't like loud pipes and A motorcyclist who is also a environmentalist.
Same as me . I like my motos fast and quiet. All racing organizations have muffler and decibel limits today and do a better job of enforcing racing noise then do the state and feds on our hwys. I own 11 combustion engines on my property and consider my self a environmentalist.

Let's break another stereotype in the related hijack while we're at it.
For the life of me I can't imagine Lewis and Clark wasting rounds on target practice. What's a matter are these people such bad shots that they have to practice all the time? A gun owner since my first 12ga at age 11.
Carbon river hikes are also bothered by target (?) practice across the river .

I'd like to see a comparison sound footprint of the motorcycle noise and a 12 year old Subaru with " I earn my turns" stickers on their roof box full of carpooling TAYers to be convinced its the motorcycles scaring away the wildlife.

That's a ridiculous statement - everybody knows there is rarely more than one person in that Suby..  and it's not his fault the road salt ate away the muffler 8 years ago.

As for the the forest pot shots, it's the same everywhere, and frankly to be expected - the Consumer Confidence Index is below 60 - get prepared..

Damn, this doesn't bode well for my motorcycle propelled drive by target shooting I have planned in Greenwater.

Meh...beginner stuff.
In Greenwater they drive snowmobiles while having drive by target shooting then chainsaw some wood and then pick fights with "them uppity Crystal folk" in the Naches......it's quite charming and quaint.

More thread drift I know but how come Mt Blanc has Chamonix and Courmayeur as it's access towns whereas Mt Rainier has the meth addicted Ashford and the chainsaw/gun paradise of Greenwater?
