He does not need encouragement Pandora.
My Dad always said, don't argue with a fool. He'll bring you down to his level and whip ya with experience.
I certainly have experience with the S7 having spent two seasons of over 90+ days each riding them. From what I remember you skied them for two days and then sold them because you hated them.

Why did you ditch them if they were so awesome for touring?? My guess would be the weight? Trading to lighter gear.

^^^I did not hate them, just to flimsy/floppy and to much wasted excess fore and aft. Not made to charge hard for a big guy with my technique.

Wanted something lighter for my advancing years and smoke stained lungs....plus that tail.....not supportive enough for my tailgunning shenanigans.
But PNWBrit( banned for life) tours on his S7's with dynfiddlies all the time and he's pretty quick in the skintrack and manages all day on them without flopping into a heap..... well most of the time!!!
It's a viable set up, maybe not the ultimate for weight weenie queens ..but adequate and if the OP likes them...go for it and ignore the haterz and smuglies.

I mounted on the line but if I was to do again I'd mount at +1. The ski is designed to be rode as a slarvvy ski so +1 or +2 helps that loose feeling IMHO.
I've got 178 S7s with Dynafits (I'm 5'5" 130) and have them mounted at +1.
I would go at least plus 1 on the mount as well. It may make the kick turn a little easier too.
I know so much BS it's hard to read any of it.
I would not go -1 especially at your size, weight.
+1 is the way IMO as we all mentioned in the thread.
