Sure you will have to accept the repercussions of lesser durability, lesser retention, not huckable to any great extent and you wont be able to rip like a World Cup racer but if you are willing to accept that ..why not?

Yep, Scotsman knows what he's talking about. I've got 178 S7s with Dynafits (I'm 5'5" 130) and have them mounted at +1. Sure, I'd love to have the weight savings of 112 Pures instead of the S7s, but the bank account made that decision for me! It's a really fun setup and I was pleasantly surprised that they don't feel heavy on my feet when touring.
I'm adding this to my ever growing list of accomplishments on my tag.
