Missing Skier Crystal Today 3/1/11

Paul is pretty well known to not break the rules and not put a lot of effort into getting the goods. Ie..Hiking by any means. So we are pretty confident it eliminates South and any attempts at 410.
My ski search partner ended up dislocating his shoulder on the last run back, so it can get physical especially when the snow has turned ugly with the warming.

I don't have a pass/lift ticket at Crystal. Will they comp tickets to volunteer searchers? Especially since I'm close to Melby's crew?

rider, if not and you feel you can do good out there, pay for a ticket then send me a PM with your mailing address and we'll make sure you are reimbursed

My thoughts and prayers are with everyone involved in the search, and especially to Paul and his family and friends.

The patrol encourages anyone who can to come up and help with search efforts. Please check in with patrol at the base area by the bottom of the gondola and be honest about your skiing/riding ability (even if you are less experienced you will still be very useful in covering lower area terrain). You will be dispatched to an area to search and then check back in with patrol up on the hill. Everyone is welcome and all efforts are appreciated, please come and help.
