What surprises me is that they would write an article that might hurt their cash cow. How many people here HAVEN'T gotten a ticket on Hwy 2 or been in the car with someone who has? I suppose a lot of that is Sultan PD and not WSP, maybe that's where the real pissing contest is.

Well in this thread it = 11/12=91.66% so that seems about right when you consider TAYers a subset of all drivers and their inherent propensity for self regard.

Certainly am. TAYer through and through. Repeat the TAY mantra every night before I switch the light out and try and live my life in accordance with the principles of TAYism but lapse frequently. Orthodox TAYism a very rigorous discipline. I feel I may never reach the high levels of TAYism displayed by some of the masters but goddamn it I'm going to keep trying.

As much as unstable snow in the hills is a hazard -- the real danger on any ski trip is the ride home.
100 mph on US2 through Baring is pretty risky -- the road has a long staigtht stretch -- but a dog, deer or a kid could easily wander into the road.
I suppose the WSP has their ticket quotas -- but I suspect that most WSP have also had to do clean up after fatality and injury accidents and reducing how many times they have to do that unpleasant job is part of their motivation as well.

Seeing as Stevens is my "home resort" i have driven up there tons of times. every single time, no matter the conditions, some idiot is going well over 20mph faster than everyone else rushing to get there. usually its some 4wd or AWD svu as well.
Do i consider myself an expert? hell no if anything im on the lower end of the middle. year i spent two winters driving in montana but other than that my only exposure to snow is going to and from the mountains. To easy to forget how things handle going from dry pavement to snow. i drive the speed limit or with the flow of traffic in bad conditions. Have no problem letting other pass me if the so choose. What pisses me off is when they are riding my ass, pass me, then slow down so it ends up im riding their ass going the same speed i was!

This situation reminds of a song from the 90's. Something about the police. I think it was written and performed by a popular hip-hop group. Oh yes, here it is...
Turns out that the lyrics contain a delightful amount of profanity, and therefore are NOT SAFE FOR WORK or CHILDREN.
