Keith.
I know you didn't specifiy that there was snow on the road, but I think using cruise control in slippery conditions is dangerous. (I'm assuming "intermediate" is some lower gear?)
Bare and wet. Never use it on snow or ice. When conditions allow for it, I can get down from the top to bottom in intermediate and cruse without applying the brakes.

???
57 MPH to account for standard deviation.
But of course my point was that I could drive much faster but choose not to because the cost and hassle of a ticket far outweighs the minimal amount of time saved.

Actually Scotsman I take it back. Bring on your independent study. Maybe I can get my insurance rates lowered. Heck, they may even want to pay me to be on the roads.
Are you and Aaron related or is this overestimation of your abilites just an Eastside cowboy thing?

Actually, it's been done, and more than once. It turns out that about 80% of drivers describe themselves as above average in their driving skills. ???
I'm with Keith - hanging around near the speed limit is fine with me. More often than not, the guy that zips past gets hung up by the next guy going the limit, and he's gained nothing. If he wants to live in the agro zone, like some posters here, that's fine - to a point, but i'm going to arrive all sweet and mellow. helps to be 60, though - didn't feel that way at 30..

Well in this thread it = 11/12=91.66% so that seems about right when you consider TAYers a subset of all drivers and their inherent propensity for self regard.
