Last day Scotsman.
Did you succumb and go out or did you let it pass like a leaf on a stream?
First visit back to TAY in along time... I'm sure you all enjoyed my absence and wish for more.
Joe ,I did not succumb but I did think about it seriously.... for about a second and then went mountain biking.
Mountain Biking just like touring..... long uphill slog, fun on the downhill although I think you can hurt yourself very easily mountain biking and have left some more skin recently on the track. The colder temps have got me excited and I've started tuning the quiver.
Here's hoping for an EARLY winter.

Chris, despite the fact that your feet smell because you eat rancid, dried-out burritos prepared and served in third-tier, cinder block gas stations, I will ski with you. So finish tuning that quiver.
On top of my incredibly gracious attitude toward your fried in coagulated, hairball laden lard burrito habit and its side effects, streak or no streak, I promise that you'll get no attitude from me about having just reestablished an awesome one month streak.
Live and let live, burritos, streaks and burrito streaks be damned. Peace Scotsman!

Welcome back to that T(almost)AY crowd, Chris. I did a little mountain bike dabbling this summer, but it seems like a broken-something-or-other waiting to happen, for me.
I was a dabbler until I got a really good bike( thanks to a TAYer who sold me his) and started learning how to ride it. Just like skiing, its all about body position, commitment to your line and technique.
I'm still useless and like my skiing its more unbridled enthusiasm rather than good form that gets me down but the more I do it, the more fun its becoming. Not quite as good as a powder day but pretty damn close and WA is a mountain biking paradise. There are so many places to go.
Hint: for building skills and confidence try the new bike park at Duthie Park. A few trips there increased my meager skills exponentially.

Jibber, I have sworn off the deep fried burritos as being very vain, I decided that to retain the figure of a pubescent Swedish gymnast I would have to change my diet.
I now eat only wild caught Alaskan salmon and salads and am feeling very superior to the carbohydrate loaders as a result. You know me, I have to find something to feel smug about. :-[
I have also started smoking American Spirit cigs as they are made from natural tobacco and so much better for me.
Looking forward to getting some turns with you
