I'm uncertain why I can't post my smart a$$ remarks to the previous thread started by Scotsman? Quite possibly it was a red herring for more attention.
None the less I feel that my opinion is stifled and I have a moral obligation in this great nation to let it be known.

Back to Scotsman's origional thread...
It's good to know I won't blow a mind gasket from holding my breath waiting for Scotsman's inability to control his addictions.
I'm almost as certain as the air I breathe that Scotsman's lame attempt at year round skier retirement based on moral obligation holds as much fiber as Brett Farve not placing his hands under a grown mans butt in the NFL for another year.
Why couldn't he retire with grace, like Ken Griffy jr, just drive off in the sunset?
Instead he posts some sort of self depreciating, ingratiating retirement post as a guise for a deeper subject that he seems to be losing his wall climbing grip on.
Maybe we can plan a farewell retirement tour for him and smother him with gifts that consist of unclaimed lost and found items from ski tours.
If someone finds my misplaced blue bag on Adams there is a little gift for him to enjoy while waiting for the first feathers of snow of the new season.
Happy Retirement Scotsman ::)

Perchance Mr Scottsman is in the midst of a Tiger Woods inner delimina ? Has his passion and fleeting joy intruded upon his serene appearing daily toils. On an unrelated note does this count as turns ?

Like you joe I'm unable to post to the original thread, so I'm adding my two cents here.

From scotman:

I still TAY, just not every month.

Interesting
Can one still TAY without TAYing???
To be TAY ... is it a tribe, a philosophy, a lifestyle?
Does your decision to remain TAY without succumbing to the moral dilemma of actually TAYing make you feel morally superior like I do now?

All that angst and moral dilemma is for naught as I believe what we are, are TAYists. Yes, it's not a sport or a hobby, it's a religion!

I have to admit this thought originally came from a desire to have an excuse for not having a NW forest permit in my car. Supposedly if you're in the forest for spiritual reasons not recreational you don't need a recreation permit.
