Yes Larry, I have a cozy,well hidden snow house in B lot. The well disguised entrance is near the area where car commuters stop to let their dogs relieve themselves after being locked up all day. Note to self, avoid yellow and brown snow as it messes up skins. Note to people who lock their dogs up at the mountain: get a life.

Yes, it's silly they attempted to enforce the "Brown Bag" rule in an empty restaurant but why sling crap at an employee doing the job he's/she's paid to do?

I care because your being a smartass is likely to cause said employee to be less hospitable toward the rest of us.

I got 'warned' and saw others get an earful recently too. Sounds like something they're on the prowl for us this year. I get it if the place is full, but if not, leave me alone as I have already spent a big pile of money with the area, and said pile will only get larger over the season even though I do bring lunch for my kids.

The thing I always wonder about is what is the difference - in the area's estimation - between the brown bagger and lurker who is just staying warm and not buying anything. IMHO the brown bagger is at least if not more likely to make a purchase as the lurker, so why not throw the lurkers out as well and see what sort of uproar that would create!

I can just see it: A family with kids just getting warm on a cold day - "I'm sorry folks but you need to buy a meal to sit here. If you don't I'm afraid you'll have to leave or go sit in the basement."

That said, I did have a very positive chat with JK a couple weeks ago and he was very sincere when telling me that if I had ANY comments, complaints or suggestions "PLEASE tell me what you're thinking", said he. So tell him!

...Except us! Fantastic day for skichica and her chics. Both of the kids are coming along just fine in their appreciation of two plank travel! Met up with Chris Cass, and another non-TAYer, tried to cajole Scotty and Joe into a run with us, and spent the day lapping Queens with Downhill for diversion.

The only sour pill of the day was brown bagging in the Campbell dining area... I believe there were 10 people in there? Maybe? Two of our party purchased a drink and soup. The kids and I were eating our homemade delectables when one employee came by pulled up a chair and warned us, "I see that you are eating here, and I am going to let it slide this once, but you cannot be eating your own food here. We have a brown bag area just for you in the basement of the base lodge, so I won't ask you to leave right now, but you have been informed." So... I was a bit of a smartass and asked if he would be ticketing us for our non-compliant presence... hopefully I didn't plant any ideas in his head... He left with a reminder for all of us that we had been warned. Thank you. And now so have all you...  >

next time i'm at crystal i'm going to dramatically enjoy a homely homespun sammich in the Campbell Basin lodge for the sole purpose of inciting a response and enjoying the "street theatre" that ensues with the Lunch Patrol Troupe. this aggression will not stand.

ps i wonder if they would ask my partner and our baby to leave if they were breast feeding?? it is "outside food" after all...
