Thursday - from Campbell Basin Lodge. 11:15 am. Blue sky, sunshine.... Groomer day.... Nobody here. Can get icy. Six is running.... empty. Low Cmac was butt ugly, icy drop_off bumps.

Feel lazy, sipping on hot choc/french vanilla... Will get up Rex soon.

Snow is good.... hard packed. Lower meadow still melted out. Discovery area is well filled in

1:30pm .... Snorting Elk Tavern. Maybe too ambitious... a whole pitcher of Black Butte Porter for two of us...

Green V Bowl... nice , smooth as a baby's behind...

Snorting elk bowl.... a little too frozen to be comfy on pow skis.

Luckyshot.... nice.

I got a report that iceberg was too frozen...

Skid Rd from Broadway to base ....a total re-freeze, hard to hold an edge...

This is a good day for carvers....

Still sunny... Bring more snow!

Oh Larry, what a wonderus day it was. Lucky and Green Valley were polished like a GS course, super fast and easy to set a gentle edge in. I must agree that Ferksberg was a bit sketchy, I found chair 9 to be delectable, wall to wall carvers for the last two days and no one in the way. Made some hot laps with the FOGs in the AM, then slid in with Scotty, Joe, Dave and Quera for some some fast post lunch cruisers. Skinned up towards Boulin late yesterday. I really do need crampons for my Dukes. Abosoltly hateful going up and coming down. Hats off to the groom crew for keeping the mountain in such good shape, very little rubble and dirt, just wall to wall smooth. This would be the weekend for the little ones, smooth snow and sunshine. From B-lot I remain old and slow.

Team Wally - I suspect you live in lot B...  So I was wondering why we haven't gotten any reports for a while.....

One of my beer buddies clarified his report on Ice Berg... not so much ice, but rocks... according to him.

I should mention that DownHill was a groomer screamer.   Rolling Knolls was the nicest boilerplate... really so smooth.   Sharpen those edges!!!!

And Queens was a nice groomer screamer... nobody on it  :)

I am starting to regret that I gave away my carving skis.   I need some carvers for this stuff.

Nice day... sunshine.   Nice to be able to see.    Parking lot was dry.  Good friends.

Visited the Lakewood Police Station memorial on the way home.  I was really touched by the posters created by the kids.  Easier to approach from Steilacoom Blvd. and park on the opposite side of the street.

...Except us! Fantastic day for skichica and her chics. Both of the kids are coming along just fine in their appreciation of two plank travel! :) Met up with Chris Cass, and another non-TAYer, tried to cajole Scotty and Joe into a run with us, and spent the day lapping Queens with Downhill for diversion.

The only sour pill of the day was brown bagging in the Campbell dining area... I believe there were 10 people in there? Maybe? Two of our party purchased a drink and soup. The kids and I were eating our homemade delectables when one employee came by pulled up a chair and warned us, "I see that you are eating here, and I am going to let it slide this once, but you cannot be eating your own food here. We have a brown bag area just for you in the basement of the base lodge, so I won't ask you to leave right now, but you have been informed." So... I was a bit of a smartass and asked if he would be ticketing us for our non-compliant presence... hopefully I didn't plant any ideas in his head... He left with a reminder for all of us that we had been warned. Thank you. And now so have all you... >:(

Nice to see ya Chica , Cass and Team Wally.
I skied Iceberg once and as a stranger on the lift said, decided I already had enough "character" and didn't need to do it again.
Chasing Team Wally, Joedabaker and Dave down icy groomers at high speed( there was nobody on the runs) was  both terrifying and exhilarating all at the same time.

As Larry says "sharpen the edges" and pull on the diapers for the weekend.
Its gonna be icy!

Sorry you had to run into the LUNCH PATROL Chica. Hope it didn't spoil your day. You were rocking da Antipastas ;)
