Glad to know you're listening. I'll be there checking it out tomorrow. Good job Tiana!

So, whatever happened about the Big Sky/Crystal season pass thing?

On the whole, Crystal's employees are a nice, hard working polite group. The food service people and the checkout girls at Campbell Basin do a particularly good job. Sometimes the lifties need a little "encouragement." Try saying hello, asking them how they're doing, and throwing them a "thank you" when they pull the chair. It helps. I know, I've been there.
Crystal management have made a conscious decision - all such decisions at that level are distinctly "conscious" - to pursue profit with NO regard to their clients. From a strict business analysis such decision is rational, though disappointing. As a season pass holder for the last several years I have come away feeling disregarded and unappreciated for any number pf reasons; most of which have been the subject of numerous posts here at TAY.
I live Olympia. I, like many people, am a geographic hostage. Travel time leaves me without a realistic alternative to Crystal when it comes to lift-serviced skiing. (In a year w/ avy conditions such as they have been I have not been in the bc as much as I like to be.) Boyne USA knows they are the only realistic lift-serviced option for many of us.
So far as the Big Sky issue, I sent numerous emails and was essentially ignored. How did it turn out? I went to Grand Targhee and JHMR and had a GREAT time. I'll NEVER go to Big Sky or any other Boyne property. Ever. When friends from out of the area come to WA we ski Crystal once to show them the great terrain. Then I take my money, and theirs, to Baker, Whistler, or elsewhere. My kids are now moving on, so after this year I'll never buy another season pass at Crystal; skiing the bc instead. I'm proud of the mountain, the employees, and the skiers and riders, but whenever I tell people about Crystal I never refrain from "sharing" re: Boyne.
Listen to people talk about Baker. Notice any difference?
Crystal - Boyne USA - Sux. I've made a deal with the Devil, but not for long.

They had the line step up correctly today and it worked. Similar changes made a few weeks ago on REX after some emails and sending line set up instructions. It's taken years of complaining but they've listened twice this month. Now, the empty paid parking area.....

Yes the line was redone on Sunday and I hope that it works out for the best for Crystal and the customers. So far the response seems positive. I appreciate Team Wally advocating on this issue.
I also met "Snowgirl" yesterday at Crystal and I harbor no ill will toward her for intimating in this thread that I'm a complaining whiner or a whining complainer or that I have strong feeling for or against swiss cheese... I appreciate her efforts to make things work smoothly. I understand she is one tremendous skier.
Thanks again Tiana.

I skied at Crystal for the first time in a couple years on Saturday, and I had a great experience. Now of course 6 feet of snow makes everything look better, but Crystal seems to manage parking, ticket lines, and lift lines better than Alpy or Stevens. And the terrain speaks for itself. Patrol wa svery heplful also when we skinned out to Southback after Chair 6 closed down mid-day.

I can't believe any person would suggest not skiing at Crystal because of bad ownership....DUDE they have terrain. Go ski it and hate the management.Don't wait for a company to care about your cheap pass.
