Why Crystal sux

While I haven't seen it at Crystal, I've seen the same thing on a couple of Wednesday nights at Ski Acres. A 10-15 minute line ( for a 5 minute run, mind you), one guy checking tickets, one guy watching the loading zone, and another guy screwing around with a snow shovel who should have been making sure all the chairs were full. I pay to ski, not stand in line, and especially not stand in line while half-empty chairs go up. The manpower's there, the management's not, and it should be. Legit problem, NOT whining.

I don't get why people get called out as whiners for making a legitimate complaint. Sending up empty chairs when there's a line is simply poor service, and you/we are paying dearly for that service and it should be better.

Exactly, this isn't whining at all, yes its a complaint, but not whining. If I'm standing in a 15 minute lift line that I paid $60 for and 3 out of 4 chairs are going up half empty I've got every right to be pissed off and complain. If they managed the lines correctly and every chair was full then fine they are doing everything they can to make the line go as fast as they can and I've got no complaints about standing in line.

My suggestion to you, "Ski Midweek!!"
This is the first year I've had to ski weekends. Hopefully it will be my last. Watching people stumble in line, look at each other , like , who's on first? You know the Abbott and Costello thing? Rainman's favorite?
I blame the "Carlos Mencia" syndrome on half filled chairs. The lifties can only do so much to load chairs.
If some retard sits in line and does the "Dee Duh Dee" . Ya, he just missed the chair, OOPs!! Chairs will go up empty. And believe me they do , all day long.
Blame the liftie? No
Send the retard skiier back to Liftline School 101. How to load a chair correctly!!
The "weekend warriors" are just that. Weekends suck for skiing!!!

If the skiers are retards as many are on weekends then it's the resort's job to deretardify them by teaching them Liftline School 101 and get the rest of us up the goddam hill. I do indeed blame the lifty, or his boss for not telling him how to do the job for which he gets paid.
Weekend lifties on forest queen at xtal do a great job of it and take no prisoners. No reason why others can't accomplish the same, oh-so-simple task.

Skiing midweek is a great idea, but not possible for everyone and some of us have to ski weekends for various reasons, and such a suggestion reeks of the same mentality that makes the weekend warriors miss the chair. "HUH? There're other people on the planet besides me? WOW! Oh well. So what?"

Maybe Crystal should go back to the "Rolling Carpet", to spoon feed the retards onto the chairs.
The resorts job to teach retards? LOL!
Do something creative to ski midweek, like call in sick. Just say , hey, I'm going to go enjoy myself without fighting the crowds. It's not too hard to do, try it.
