High Campbell no more

Crystal's ski patrol got that deep instability to react today. The resulting slide from the top of the Throne cleared out the bottom of the High Campbell chair. I suppose it's derailed for the last time (and maybe that upgrade "a few years away" will come much sooner).

Ahhhhhh.. ski patrol wanted a new chairlift.

It only figures that less than a week after they built their first jump line since the 90s a controlled slide ripped out the chair to their premier freeriding terrain. Talk about a rollercoaster of emotions...

I guess this is proof that something good can come from an avalanche  

In the last video and pics that Crystal has posted I've noticed a fair amount of what appears to be brown dirt on the slide path.  Does anyone know what layer these slides are occurring on?  Is is something earlier than the Jan layer we've been talking about?  Are we sliding all the way down to bare ground in some cases?
