On Saturday, November 4, 2023, I'll be doing a presentation of my book, Written in the Snows, at the Bend Snow and Avalanche Workshop in Oregon.
Information and registration for the workshop can be found here:
www.coavalanche.org/event/2023/bend-snow-avalanche-workshop-2/
Note to admins: I've tried to include a photo with this post but have not been able to do so. I specify an attachment, click to "Insert," and nothing happens. I've been successful in the past, but I don't remember the mechanism I used before.
Another note: I see that my photo is attached to this post, but it's tiny and you have to click to enlarge it. That wasn't necessary in the past, as I recall.

Hope to see you there. Photo: Andre Roch (left) and Hjalmar Hvam on the summit of Mt Hood during the first ski ascent and descent (with Arne Stene) in 1931.
