Four events have been confirmed so far, with more to come:
  • Thu, Nov 11, 7pm, Fox Ridge Studio, 4116 1/2 E Madison St, Seattle
  • Thu, Nov 18, 7pm, The Mountaineers, 7700 Sand Point Way NE, Seattle

Thanks to Greg Scruggs and the Seattle Times for a fine review of my book, Written in the Snows. I'm looking forward to upcoming book events, particularly the presentation on Thursday, Nov 18, 7pm at the Mountaineers Program Center in Seattle.

I bought your book, Lowell, and read it eagerly.  I found it very interesting and very informative, with great pics.

Thanks Andrew! I hope you can attend one of my presentations. I've included a number of photos (and some movies) that couldn't fit in the book. One of my favorites is a short film of the Devils Dip at Paradise. Classic.

It'd be great if you could give a talk up here in Bellingham, Lowell. I think there would be sufficient interest for a good turnout if promoted enough.

A reminder that I'll be doing a presentation for my book, Written in the Snows, for the Washington Ski Touring Club this Thursday, Dec 2, 7pm at the Puget Sound Yacht Club, 2321 N Northlake Way, in Seattle. This is the last *live* Seattle-area presentation on my schedule, currently. (No reason we can't do more, but none scheduled yet...)

Yes. I've reached out to some folks in Ellensburg about this possibility. I'll post more information if a date is confirmed.

I'll be doing a presentation of my book, Written in the Snows, for the Wenatchee River Institute at 7pm, Wednesday, Dec 15, at 335 Division Street in Leavenworth, WA. A Book for All Seasons will be at the event selling my book, and I'll be happy to sign copies. The indoor venue will be well ventilated, so it's suggested that folks dress warmly.

My book, Written in the Snows, has been selected by the International Skiing History Association (ISHA) for a 2022 Skade Award, presented annually for outstanding works in regional skiing history. My wife and I are looking forward to visiting Sun Valley in March for ISHA's Skiing History Week awards event. Celebratory photo: Carpenters Paul Borell, L. E. I received this in my stocking (was surprised to see it since Mrs Santa isn’t so aware of backcountry skiing or northwest ski culture). But I recognized the name & I’m looking forward to digging in to it!
Thanks for the book!

Next week I'll be traveling to Oregon for two presentations of my book, Written in the Snows, at Hood River (with the Hood River Crag Rats) on January 10, and Bend (with the Meissner and Central Oregon Nordic Clubs) on January 14. I believe both events are "full" at this point to limit the group size. If a group in your community would be interested in a presentation, let me know and I can connect you with the Mountaineers Books publicist. Note to admins: I've tried to include a photo with this post but have not been able to do so. I specify an attachment, click to "Insert," and nothing happens. I've been successful in the past, but I don't remember the mechanism I used before.

Another note: I see that my photo is attached to this post, but it's tiny and you have to click to enlarge it. That wasn't necessary in the past, as I recall.
