Oh my gosh Tim, I so sorry to hear of your accident and glad you survived with "minor" injuries. Good luck to you as you start a new chapter in your life. As far as wineries go maybe you will do well with the doo-wop and become the regular music aficionado for the winery.
Speaking of wineries, I remember as a child, I always looked forward to wine time at my uncles house where he would let the kids hop in the wine barrels with the wine grapes and stomp away
. Who knows, maybe some day our paths will cross again at the winery and we can share stories there.
And yes, the story is true, everytime I meet someone new, they say, "you're the MadDog? I expected someone different, how did you come up with that name?" And so the story goes, "once upon a time while skiing the Sourdough Chutes with Tim Place, etc., etc.
"
Take Care and good Luck to you Tim.

“Aloha”: a good word, Hawaiian for both hello and goodbye.
I will soon be moving to Southern Oregon, into a house two miles from my niece’s winery, where I will be sop, pest, and sometimes crush monkey for the Wooldridge Creek Winery.

Your name comes up often and that frequency is augmented every time someone asks Jeanette where she go the screen handle “MadDog”, which of course was authored by you while watching her skiing the Sourdough Chutes.

Tim,
We will miss you on the slopes, but will always remember the sweet turns we had with you! As Zap said, we had an 11 at FMH a decade ago and have your hard work of video editing, music scores and narration memorialized in one of the sweetest ski videos of all time! I pull this movie out every time I am lusting for some pow and usually skip right to day 4 and watch the shredding of Gog/Magog down to the Shoestring.
Glad the prognosis is good for a full recovery!
Best,
Ross

Yikes! I was wondering why you were conspicuously absent so far this season and when/where I'd first run into you out in the BC - I guess I'll have to ski all of your pow for you until you're back in action.
Best of luck with the healing and move to Southern Oregon and thanks for helping introduce me to the wonders of Mt. Baker so long ago.
BTW, you're now the 2nd person I know that's more or less walked away from a C2 fracture. Nice work on that!!!! Time for a lottery ticket!
