Best shop to mount Dynafits? was created by drescj
I finally made the plunge and will be leaving my Marker shackles behind... but want to make sure I get my new bindings mounted well. Anyone have recommendations of where to get them mounted? Or where to avoid? The bindings I bought are a non-adjustable variety, so need to make sure they get mounted right on.
Thanks!

I can recommend Marmot in Bellevue.
(To be honest, I haven't heard any horror stories about other options, I'm sure places like Pro Ski will do a fine job too!)
Btw, Sturtevants most likely won't even want to mount your Dynafits, from what I understand...
Cheers

No one cares as much about your skis as you. If you have intermediate shop skills and basic power tools I'd suggest reading up on the subject at
www.wildsnow.com
and doing it yourself. Fixed tech heels add a bit of complexity, but are doable (most shops won't have a jig for race heels either, so they'll just be pushing the heel up to the boot with the appropriate spacer in place and marking the holes with something sharp) - I've done several at home with good results.
Edit: If you don't want to go this route, I'd be fairly confident at Second Ascent, evo, Pro Ski North Bend, or Marmot Mt. Works. Not sure who the techs will be at the new Pro Ski Aurora yet.

3rd on Marmot. I've heard good things about proski as well but haven't personally had bindings mounted there.

I've had bindings mounted by NB Pro Ski and Marmot.
Both did a killer job, Marmot had me send them a boot shell when I lived in TX and they mounted it for me. NB Pro Ski / Guide has done all my recent stuff and Mike has been killer on it. Handed me a beer, and we did the mount and I left ready to ski within 15 minutes after purchasing my new ski setup.
Great folks at both places, just depends on what you're closer too.
